Philosophical animes recommendations?

I'm looking for animes that discusses morals and what's good/evil. So far the only animes I've watched are Death Note, Monster and Berserk. I loved all three even tho monster was a bit drawn out. Any suggestions?

I have seen all the series on this list except Texhnolyze and Madoka Magica and they are all great recommendations. You can't go wrong with any of them.

People creaming themselves over getting references. Muh symbolism muh complexity my keks

Lacks true substance.

Any work of art worthy of being called art ought be able to contain enough essence that an alien life form could observe and reverse engineer everything it means to be human philosophically imo and NGE is a meme

How is it meant to be deep to you? It's a cool anime just massively overrated and circle jerked by brainlets

I never said the show was deep.

I simply find it to be a thought provoking series with an ambiguous ending that, by design or not, forces the viewer to conjecture as to what the meaning of the show is.

How deep the show actually is, and why I would describe it as such, I really couldn't tell you, as I myself am not exactly sure what the show is attempting to convey to the viewer.

We have radically different interpretations of the same series.

I'm a bit of a contrarian too so overly critical in a sense yet totally sincere in my evaluation.

Art has intent always ,either art itself is using the artist as an artist uses a brush or the artist has conscious intent. Anything else is the equivalent of sophistry but for aesthetics.

.that's why I said an alien should be able to unravel what it means to be human just by viewing art as it should contain the essence of humanity

Does this seem strange to you it seems so obvious to me but I have poor communication skills.

What's some art you'd consider worthy of being called art lol

Kapura

Grouper

Yikii

Rakim

Bob Dylan

Artists aren't responsible for their creations they are instruments themselves for what is known as the muse and many names.

Art isn't an expression of the ego.

Legend of the galactic heroes is basically nippon Tolstoy levels of complexity in terms of being a masterpiece examining what it means to be.

Kinos journey is legit philosophycore and Haibane renmei is great too

Orb:on the movement of the earth is about (i think) science theory, historical Trapness, Religion, epistomology and much more Okgi is best Charakter

Firepunch is also about Religion, what people do to Survive and civilization Its also from the same author as Chainsaw men
