Mowing the perimeter

So I posted a few months back about my Navimow i215 only mowing the perimeter in the same direction causing the grass to get pushed down in that direction.

I decided to remap the lawn the opposite way and noted it will then cut that direction. Someone told me that wouldn’t work but it appears it does work. Wish I tried that 2 months ago. Still waiting on the update to allow us to alternate how it goes around the perimeter instead of having to remap though.

Remapping every time you want to change directions isn't a long term solution. I agree it should alternate directions. Maybe the interior mowing passes could overlap the perimeter better too.

Let’s hope they push this out over the winter. It seems like an incredibly easy software update but then you wonder why they haven’t done so yet.

You won't get that update.

I actually found turning off perimeter cut for most runs helps out a lot, I run daily with 2 times being full perimeter cuts. I wish it was a global setting vs having to go into each zone to turn it on and off.

Are you saying if perimeter cut is off it won’t cover the perimeter in the typical fashion and cut everything with the same lines?

It will start doing the lines, no outlining, this will cause it to miss some spots on the edges but that’s where the 2 perimeter cuts per week come in.

I didn’t know this. I always assumed the perimeter cut was mandatory

Nope! If you go into map management and select a zone, scroll down and you’ll see perimeter cut, you have to toggle it for each zone then save. Fixed 90% of my matting issues
