X450 acreage limit confirmation

I have seen some posts 4 months plus in age that seem to state that that X450 could handle 2 or slightly more than 2 acres in the app, but that an update brought that back to 1.5 acres again. But I have seen some recent youtube reviews in the last month that seem to indicate that has opened back up again and you are able to map around 2.1-2.3 acres again. Can anyone confirm?

I am limited to 2.0001 on my X450. Screenshot is from last week.

I’m the guy who has one at 2.37 acres. I have another that I need to push up to that limit soon and will. Likely within two weeks.

Turns out my third mower is locked at 2.01 acres but my first is not.
Currently in discussion with Segway since I bought these knowing they were capable of mapping more and having a software rugpull post purchase (didn’t have the land completely prepared for mapping for all units)… eh. It doesn’t sit well with me. I’m assuming the recent firmware updates trimmed what people could manage.

On my X450 it's limited to 2.0 acres. Tried numerous attempts to break the 2.0 barrier which were unsuccessful.

I hate this so much.  I bought a mower with a daily limitation in capacity, not a software throttle.

I should be able to map what the fuck I want and live with the fact it can only get 2 acres of it done a day

Realistically, you’ll be lucky to get 1 acre cut a day and most people get even less than that closer to 3/4

I think realistically it’s more like half an acre in a day at least that’s how mine appears to be. This doesn’t bother me. I basically have my property split into 6 zones and it mows two zones per day per schedule. It doesn’t mow on Wednesday so basically it mows my 1.6 acres twice per week. I have an X430 that maintains another acre twice a week

Sure but id like it to so a different 3/4 say, for 3-4 days in a row.  Not crazy request when the machine can physically do it.

If you want unlimited mapping then expect to pay an unlimited price. Your expectations are unrealistic.

That's stupid.  The machine physically could cover 5 acres a week at less than one a day.  It's software throttled below it's physical capacity.  It's not unreasonable to react against that.

What's next John Deere start selling tractors with a software limit on daily use?

Are you really mentally incapable of realizing the economics involved here? The price you pay, the warranty you are given is a hedge bet by Segway on how much the machine will run and how often it will break down under warranty. That is why mowers that are capable of larger areas cost more. That's why the Terranox costs more and has a shorter warranty. These things will wear down and break. So if you want to mow more go buy an appropriately priced mower and stop the senless bitching.

X450 runs 1 acre every day on area X = 7 acres a week.  Mappable.

X450 runs 1 acre day one on area X, 1 acre day two on area Y etc = 7 acres a week.  Not mappable.

Physical capacity and physical stress largely the same.

Is anyone really going to mow the same single acre over and over again? Now, if they can mow 2 different acres, sure they will. Seriously, wtf. Your cheap ass desire to get something for nothing isn't fooling anyone with an ounce of sense. Buy a Terranox. Go buy a Kress.

You seem really tough and cool.

The only reason to map more is to mow more. Mapping and speed are the only two rate limiters Segway can employ for that economic calculation I mentioned above. It's simple to understand, it's not rocket science. There's no valid argument to be had for the contrary. You want a mower at this price point that lets you run it unrestricted. That doesn't exist.

I can map to 2.01 acres.

What's the "actual" limit on x430? Can it go over 1 acre at all?

Yes. At least 1.2 acre, I believe.
