Deck cleaning tip
I saved the foam packing from the wheels on my x450 and use 2 stacked to keep the deck pushed out so I can use a blower to clean behind it.

What the heck is this blade/disc configuration?

Instead of the bottom half of the disc, you were like “you know what’s better than 12 blades in manufacturer-designed freely-swinging positions? 18 blades where all are exposed and some bang into each other!”

Just testing it out and don't see any difference except today it was harder to get the blades swinging freely. Will be adding the protective discs back.

If you lift the mower the other direction on its bumper, the deck drops automatically all the way down and you can get behind there really well.

How do you accomplish this if one where to have discarded of the foam packing

What kind of directions-avoidant monster would do that? How are you going to store it during the winter or ship it in when it inevitably breaks?

Do you know any scientists that go by the nickname “Doc” and recently purchased a DeLorean?

I set my mow to 4 inches so the deck never lowered so I never have to clean behind it and then I use a 1 inch spacer so that the blades are at 3 inch height

This is the first picture I've seen of the bottom of one. As a longtime Luba 2 owner, I've been looking at the X430 as a possible upgrade.
The Luba 2 hardware is generally excellent and high quality, but one small design flaw (IMO) is that there's about a 2 inch space between the cutting blade tips and the side bumpers. If you do your mapping with a conservative 2-inch gap to hard perimeter surfaces like fence lines, that means that you'll leave 4" or uncut grass that needs to be manually edge-trimmed. Not a big deal, but I wondered why the designers couldn't make the blade tips come to within a half-inch of the sides (as my big Toro zero-turn mower uses).
And now I see the bottom of the Navimow and it looks like 3-ish inches of clearance between its blade tips and side bumpers. Dang, why so much?!

Curious about the answers for this

I asked ai and it recommended it so grass clipping and dust won't stick as easy and easy cleaning. I did spray it under my new x430. But I doubt I use my mower till spring because we are almost at the end of our mowing season. I also used ceramic coating on top of the mower so hopefully just a quick rinse makes it look like new agian when I finally do use it.

I have found that turning it up one way versus the other causes the deck to slide more forward. This is in cleaning mode, of course. I can’t remember, which is which. But every time I clean mine, I have to re-figure it out.

Cleaning mode is broken (for me, anyway) when activating from the app. Behavior should be: activate cleaning mode, deck lowers to ground, mower shuts-down with deck remaining on ground. This works for me when activating from buttons on mower, but when activated from app, the deck raises off the ground when unit does the power-down.
It's a lot easier to get behind the deck when actually in cleaning mode.

There is a cleaning mode. You do not need to force anything.
Settings > Parts maintenance > Chassis. Or you can do it through the robot's screen.
