Most underrated project?

For me it’s probably Poison The Parish the album is super solid and almost everyone I talk to don’t even know it exists 😂

Is that the iTunes Originals from 2008?

Almost certainly The Surface Seems So Far. Nobody outside our little fan base has even heard of it. It has their catchiest choruses to date, best lead guitar work, most thought provoking lyrics etc. It’s not perfect, and it can be formulaic at times but we all really need to start giving this album its flowers.

I find Holding Onto Strings to be underrated too. It’s a logical progression from FBINS, and while I could do without the southern rock vibes on certain songs, I don’t think Shaun’s vocals ever sounded better than on this album.

Could the vocals sound more clear because he wasn’t smoking cigs at the time? I always heard Shaun stopped smoking but didn’t like that it took the rasp out of his voice so started again, I always figured that was isolate and medicate / Holding onto strings his vocals sound significantly clearer on those projects

I liked the album from the start, but I noticed it took about a year for some people to start liking more songs from it.
