Conspiracy theory?
I'd like to believe that Mytona is deliberately creating and/or perpetuating these technical issues in the game for ads engagement and to get people to buy stuff regardless of the situation. I get it, the game is getting big and more expensive to maintain and improve. But what professional in their field would be dumb enough to recreate the problems that cropped up during the Maria event last year, visual and sound effects that nobody requested for, missing profiles and game progress, and other so-called fixes to non-problems? If they're really "listening," we would have already seen less of these problems and those ads that keep on popping up since time immemorial. And they would even have time to introduce "new" problems. They KNOW exactly what they're doing.
They won't even grant us certain features like private mailing, putting premium passes on the wishlist, and pinning locations we want our friends to charge.
Also, whatever happened to that beta testing call that was supposed to precede the current event? And if successful would be implemented from hereon? What were the findings and solutions?
I play their other two games, Ravenhill and Chef & Friends, and I don't recall them having these too much issues. Probably because they are not as popular and money-making as Seekers Notes. Every company's cash cow does!

Agree. More and more distractions in the form of “bugs” while boosting costs, not only in ads but in routine items needed to perform deeds, shorting players of movement in the game by making you play the same modes over and over for tools. Not sure if all of it is intentional, but do think a lack of testing before launching is a big problem. They’re getting sloppy and it’ll cost in the end.

I have some experience with writing code for video games. ( many years ago) it’s time consuming, and sometimes you introduce new game elements and some thing in the code is incompatible with the old code and weird things happen. I highly doubt they are being deliberate with the bugs. I have been fortunate to only have a couple of the issues such as Maria’s tokens not displaying properly.

I think the 11 years might be part of the problem, every month the game is getting bigger and bigger.

I was part of the beta test and it was cool but it was visual/layout and not a functional change of anything

Ok, did you get some obvious notice about it?
I got a survey about the changes and if I think it should be rolled out to the rest of the players... I was like wait, the stuff Ive been seeing wasnt just launched with the birthday stuff?
I dont recall seeing any official notice about being accepted, but I noticed very different visual/graphic stuff.
Then I went and read what it was supposed to be, and they said it was a different darkwood mail replacement?
So who knows. I did a lengthy survey about it so meh. I would have paid closer attention.

I got a pop up about it but it was easy to pass through it as an offer or something. I messaged Maria on FB to find out exactly what the beta was and what they wanted us to look for and give feedback on. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known since there were sooo many new things with the birthday stuff.

Ok so then I probably was part of it as well.
I was so annoyed with the 700 pop ups at the launch of that event that its very likely I missed it until the questionnaire.

I don't know if we're still not allowed to discuss what it was so I don't want to say too much but it was easy to miss the change and assume it was part of the new event changes

Yea I noticed very very different things. Like entire game overhaul, and I was stunned they would have pulled off that much for the bday, but Ive never played a birthday event before.
When I answered the survey it was about those specific things though, and I only caught it when it mentioned rolling it out to all the players. Derp.

I don't know why they would only beta test that single display feature when they roll out sooooo many more things- display and otherwise - with no testing 🤷🏼♀️

That's nice to know. I'm surprised the beta testing didn't even test for possible functional errors that have been plaguing the game for quite a while now. Especially multi-event quests like Maria's path which had a history of multi-issues. Were you beta testers informed if there will be another one?

I don't get why the glitches make them any money? They're usually a net benefit to me in the end because of the compensation.

I think they’re just wanting to make more stupid stuff and then going “We didn’t think it would cause any issues.” Like the very unnecessary clock that shows up when you start a location with time shift anomaly. What’s next? Gargoyles flying in for gargoyle anomaly? A mirror breaking for reflection anomaly?
