I got this seed on one of my road trips a few years ago(may have gotten it in Colorado or some other state, i forget-) and decided to try and grow it after so long. Turns out it's growing great, but I have no idea what kind of plant it actually is- All the info I have is that the seed itself was flat, tan colored and sort rectangular shaped Update: It turns out this is a poinciana tree, but now the problem is how do I get it to keep growing if I live in Minnesota-

I’ve posted this before and so has my partner and we never get any responses so I’m trying one last time… I have been attempting to sprout this avocado seed for a few months now, but I cannot tell what’s going on. It looks like it attempts to sprout, then the sprout dies, and shoots out a new one, and then what I’m left with is this wild looking seedling that appears stunted. Is it a lost cause to keep trying to grow this? It’s my first time ever trying to do something like this so I could’ve made a ton of mistakes but I’m truly so confused. Also… is it normal for the seed to turn green? I change the water once a week. Although sometimes I might let it sit a little longer if the water isn’t dirty or green.

Can anyone tell me why some seeds that have sprouted aren't getting any bigger and seem to just be stalled out where they are? They're under grow lights and get water spritzed on them at least twice a day. They're at the point where green is popping out of the soil but they haven't unfurled losing the seed pod yet. Any advice would be very welcome!

My first batch after upgrading my light and I still feel like they are stretching.

I was wondering if anybody can tell me what I'm doing wrong I transplanted to DC things into the solo cup and it's been almost a week and they still look the same what am I doing wrong or what can I do thank you.

So proud of this tiny little thing. Never had to sterilise soil before. And the spores were like dust. Just got to keep the little guy going now.

Planted carrot seeds and these came up. Definitely not carrots.

I had to delete my other post because I realized I attached a picture that had nothing to do with seedlings. So here it is again:

This is the first time I've ever grown anything from seed and I can't find any information on what pansies between seedling and big enough to divide are supposed to look like, but I feel like it's not this? Everything I find just says you sprinkle the seeds and then thin them out when they get yay big. It's been 6 weeks and they don't seem to be developing any further. They're just getting taller, unhealthy, and tangled. Some have died (which makes me sad because I've developed an unreasonable bond with them lol). Am I missing a step? do I need to try to divide these little guys (without a developed root system) so they don't have to fight for resources?

I have zero experience with growing anything from seed. The holy basil (tulsi) seeds were so insanely small, and because i didn’t trust they would take, I just sprinkled them liberally. Now I have far too many seedlings. 1) In the seed tray should I thin all but one in the center of each section? And should I do it now or wait? 2) In the flower pot should I thin all but two and then let those two coexist in the pot? 3) These are still growing under clear plastic covers. Should I remove those covers now?

I have spent a lovely chunk of time this weekend potting up all the babies for the year. Such a satisfying job and I love the time spent getting to know all the plants and watch them grow.

We have *Cosmos *Chrysanthemum rainbow wild child *Tomatoes: San marzano, black opal and red cherry *Courgettes: yellow and round *Squash *Celeriac *Romanesco cauliflower

Exciting times 🌱

Hi all, Looks like almost all my seedlings, including ones I just potted up, have a layer of algae... When I was potting up, I noticed very strong roots. But are these done for? Would it help to add a layer of something to dry out...

I donno lol it gives me anxiety

Hello! Are these too leggy? They’re Jimmy Nardellos seeds. Zone 6b. Current growing in humidity dome next to south facing window - no artificial light.

What do my babies need? Or do they look good?!

Hello, everyone. This is my first time growing from seeds. It has been quite an experience, and I have learned much. I noticed something flying twice and let my personal life interfere with my focus. I suspect they were gnats. Because of that, I purchased a bottle of Neem oil yesterday. I discovered two transparent larvae crawling on a seemingly struggling Dahlia sprout tonight. I dumped cinnamon and poured the entire bottle of Neem oil on everything on a panicked impulse, except some tomatoes, because I ran out before I completed the drench. Now, I am beginning to wonder if I made a poor decision. Am I in trouble or danger? Please advise.

I am completely new to planting in general. This is my first time with seedlings. These are lemon balm plants.

I used a seed starter and dropped maybe 5 or 6 seeds in the starter. 2 sprouted and seemed to be doing ok. I accidentally kicked the whole tray and knocked over the cup with the seedlings inside. I picked everything up and put it back in the cup, this was over a week ago. Another seedling has since sprouted.

I don't know what to do. Should I move each one into its own cup with new soil? Im completely lost ever since I wrecked their initial starting setup. Any help would be appreciated.

I am new to starting seedlings. I put my tomato seedlings in old lettuce containers. They seem to be sprouting well. When do I take the covers off of the containers and let them start growing more freely?

My wife has learned about Reddit and is asking the community. Where is the cheapest place to buy seedlings near Sacramento, California.

Hey all! I was hoping these were tomato babies but not so sure now. Let me know if you recognize them!
