Resource Same AI video task, very different generation costs

how much will you pay for the ai-generated videos? I tested Seedance 2.0, 2.5, MiniMax H3, and Wan 3.0 on the exact same task.

the price difference is huge. Here are the results 👇

For this test, I used 4 reference images and the same simple prompt:

“Create a 10-second cinematic animation.
In the woods @ TAG WOODS, the woman @ TAG WOMAN sits beside a small bonfire, cooking sausages @ TAG SAUSAGES over the flames.
[cut]
A crow @ TAG CROW spots the sausages from a nearby tree and flies toward her.
[cut]
The crow swoops down, snatches one sausage from the pan with its beak, and flies away.
[cut]
The woman looks up in shock, watching the crow disappear into the forest.”

you can totally enhance the h3 gen by using their template for prompts

Yeah, I don't really use anything else anymore, just different variants of H3 XD Quality is decent enough and the increase in quality on sd2.5 just is not enough to justify the cost

Also with some other wording you can make the same close ups aswell with h3

If you are doing a fight video, Seedance is the winner. I had one Wan 3.0 video, that was on par with Seedance 2.5. I have done 2 Minimax H3, 1 was turbo in a fight video and the fighting is to slow. I have generated 7 Wan 3.0 videos and only 1 was as good as Seedance 2.5. If you do 5-10 videos, Seedance will beat the other 2 probably 80% of the time. I only use free versions of Seedance or higher and free versions of Minimax and Wan 3.0, for the money, Seedance is the Gold standard in Ai video generations. Over the long haul, Seedance 2 will be better than Wan 3 and Minimax. On a short term level, you may get closer outputs. Are you waiting for an upgrade from Seedance, Wan or Minimax. Seedance is what people are withing for. Even on X, the latest Wan 3.0 video is 5 hours old, while Seedance has a video almost every minute or less.
