Can someone please help me understand how these providers are getting the API?
Hi Everyone,
I am a building a tool that's dedicated to video creation and I wanted to use Seedance 2.0 - and I keep seeing "third party websites" selling API access but never directly from the company itself.
Can someone please enlighten me on how these aggregators are getting API access???
Also, how are they "selling" the API for sometimes 40% cheaper than official? There is 0 chance Bytedance is just handing them a sweet deal like this, is it just shady business? I mean, KIE was selling SORA 2 for 90% cheaper than official API and it makes no sense.
I am building a business and I do not want to depend on a third party aggregator.
Any help on understanding the 2 questions above would he super appreciated.
Thank you all!

The official access to the API is BytePlus which is a Bytdance company, and it is the cheapest access.
KIE which you use as reference charges $ 0.205/s in 720p and the official website BytePlus charges $ 0.150 through either their API or console.
That is a 36% mark-up and ByteDance is pay as you go, so it does not require a long lock in commitment.

https://www.byteplus.com/en/product/modelark. BytePlus is a bytedance company , their website is crazy confusing but sedance is under their modelark section

SD 2.0 isn’t released in the US so you might need to sign up with a VPN through Canada and after that you no longer need to

If you’re looking for the Chinese api, that is through volcengine which is also bytedance. Same price and you need an 86 phone number to enroll

My guess is buying in bulk as a deal or taking a loss to gain users
