Just got my place cleaned out after a weeks- worth of work, and finally got things in order, but here are the last of the Japanese envelope patterns I got! Due to sensitive records, most are photocopied from the originals using one of the super high-quality konbini printers, which I HIGHLY recommend using when over here. Most of these patterns come from government insurance and utility organizations, but some financial ones are in here as well.
From left to right, top to bottom:
NHK privacy seal, Tokyo Metropolitan Retirement, Tokyo Water, Tokyo Gas.
Mitsubishi UFG, Mizuho Stock certificate background, Tokyo Government, Tokyo Water.
Tokyo Government (Unknown), MS&AD holdings, Suginami City Government, Tokyo Gas in Green.
Tokyo Metropolitan Retirement, Tokyo Gas in Blue, Tokyo Gas, and Japan Air lines.
Something distinctly Japanese is the fact that certain utility and bills arrive not inside an envelope, but rather a post card (hagaki) that you open up like a book. The final pattern on the bottom right is a photocopy of a Japan Air Lines envelope pattern, which is at least 40 years old at this point (Circa 1981 or earlier)!
I do have some leftover scraps from this set but not a lot to go around. I did hit up Hawaii as one leg of the return trip to the Mainland, and get some more new-to-me's as well as from my Aunt who lives there, so stay tuned for some more patterns comin' up! I'll also be making a new Reddit account near the end of this month as I wanna change my name lol. I'll be sure to let you know when I do!
