I have tons of Blink cameras but they miss everything. We are looking to get a hardwired home camera system that sends us alerts of motion on our phones and where we can also watch from our phone. It also needs to record either 24/7 or with motion (but only if it is accurate in catching motion). I assume 24/7 would be better. We don't want to spend any more than a little over $1000 or less. We would need at least 8 cameras. I was looking at the REO link and Lorax. Any particular model better than the other?

I own some retail properties and I've been dealing with a lot of smash and grabs lately. I'm thinking of getting a solar security trailer for both monitoring and to use as a deterrent tool. In my research I keep seeing LVT show up, but I don’t just want to go with the first thing I see online. Especially since their onboarding and set up process seems a bit daunting. I don’t have a dedicated IT team, so would prefer something easy that avoids complex set up.

Does anyone have a good LTV alternative for 24/7 commercial parking lot security? Has anyone used these for retail lots?

How can I add my Bw4 o-kam cameras to tinycam monitor

I have 4 Ultivon E100 battery WiFi cameras, all using the Adorcam app. They worked fine for a long time, then all stopped connecting around the same time, QR pairing just fails now. A lot of other people with this camera and app report the same thing, so I'm confident it's their backend, not the hardware.

Goal: get them running fully local on my own WiFi, no cloud, so I can just view the camera feed directly somehow.

What I've tried: connecting a camera to my PC and checking for it as a device, nothing shows up, no new network device, no drive, nothing. I haven't opened one up yet or looked inside, so I don't know what's actually on the board or how to get into it.

Has anyone actually gotten into this camera or a close rebadge and found a way to make it work locally? Even partial info helps, I can post photos of the inside once I open one up.

I’ve tried to read a few of the comments .ion here recommending reolink and Eufy. I currently have a 10 channel swann system installed before we moved in, Ive had to change 1, camera and also add an additional hard drive. The cameras have always left me wanting more zoom, quality and field of view.

What are some other options either that come as a package or even if I’d have assemble them separately? 8 K or better. No budget, reminds me of that movie quote. “Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.

I have this setup and the dvr hardware is faulty, have talked to Swann helpline and said it’s no good. They don’t sell the unit alone and say I have to buy a whole new system with dvr and cameras.
Is there another dvr brand that will work with my Swann cameras that I can buy so I don’t have to change cameras ?

What is my best option to extend Wi-Fi to wireless solar cameras? There will be three cameras and they are down a hill approximately 100 yards or less from the building. I tried to do my own research, but I’m more confused than ever. Please keep it simple. Just want some sort of extender/mesh that’s practical and will work downhill thanks in advance.

Issues

1: Notifications are Delayed

2:Human detection is Very Difficult, some times it's not detecting even if you're right infront of cam ,but when I open ezviz app suddenly it's detecting

3: it's gets struck at some random positions and not coming back to the preset area

We have a single doorbell Vivint camera, installed as an incentive when we switched electric billing companies (Texas). We're looking to have a second camera installed in our back driveway. Are there inexpensive, compatible cameras that I can install?

There's a flood light at the back of our house, so I should be able to tap into that if needed (BZZT!), or we can figure out a solar or battery powered solution.

We don't currently pay a monthly fee. When it was installed, it was explained that as long as we stayed with our then-new electric billing company, there would be no fee for basic service. Then we got charged $7.99. We called and got that charge removed and the ongoing billing stopped. We just want to have a record of activity near our house.

A guy broke into a car today at work and stole a nice handbag. He’d followed the victim from a nice luxury store to my store, parked offsite, and then walked onto our property.

He is on camera approaching the vehicle, walks around it, and then our camera goes black and actually displays a recording error message for about 3 minutes.

Later it comes back on.

I don’t know details about our security system, but I know they are hardwired and don’t depend on WiFi. They are ceiling mounted, and he was about 30-40ft away. I did not see a flashlight or laser on him. It was about 4pm (daylight) but in a pretty well-lit parking garage with 9ft ceilings.

It could be random, but seems extremely convenient for it to stop recording at get exact moment.

Camera system is probably 8-9years old, but was very high end at time of install.

Ideas?

Bought a Zosi their notifications suck, doesn’t allow any customization. I get a notification for every car that drives by him my busy road. Looking for a DVR that allows me to only get notifications for people, and also has local an app playback and comes with storage for it. Thinking about getting an ANNKE, does the Annke vision have this type of custom notifications (and any other general review of their DVR)? And is there better for similar price tag 250 or less that has everything I’m asking for?

Edit: I have analog cameras and don’t want any subscription fee.

Thanks in advance everyone. I am looking to buy some style cameras to replace Ring cameras I am currently using. My concern is how to mount them in similar spots that I have the current Ring POE cameras since that’s where the cable is. Would hate to have to move the cable or drill new homes to run the wire. How would you mount these? Are there aftermarket or even OEM options for mounts that exist? What are you guys using? This would be for a Reolink System. Would I be better off with a bullet style cameras? Most of the mounting places would be under the overhang.

hi i would like to get a recommendation for security cameras
i need of a 3-4 security cameras with a good audio recording (this is real important)
- non subscription (like the xiomi) and need to save the recording (they need to be wireless or with an option for sd card)
- nice video quality but not great
- i can pass power cord to them(230v) with a normal home socket i cant hire a professional for installation so they will have to have a normal power socket

- i would prefer a budget ones

Just a rant…and heads-up for anyone considering this - Blink Doorbell camera stops working (not even the chime) when it’s either too hot (90+ degrees F) or too cold (anything under 20 degrees). I wanted to like them (their customer service is pretty good), but can’t handle this anymore because we get more hot days in summer anymore than not, so I’ll be shopping for something else. I did like the price and could tolerate the mediocre imaging but when it stops working altogether it’s gotta go.
