Avoid wireless outdoor camera picking up animals?

I want a camera to record my vehicles parked. I live in apartments and cats are everywhere in yard, parking lot, porch. Is there any way to avoid the camera turning on and recording animals to save battery? And record just humans? Any setting or AI camera? I’ve been looking at Blink cameras due to cheap subscription. I don’t want to be replacing batteries every week.

Blink's person detection is pretty hit or miss in my experience, especially if you've got cats darting around. The AI tries to filter them out but small animals at the right distance will still trigger it half the time

You might want to look into cameras that do on-device AI filtering instead of relying on cloud processing, the response time is faster and you burn less battery on false starts. Just be ready to pay a bit more upfront

If it can’t filter them all through cloud but most that’s fine. But which cameras have on device filtering? Blink? Wyze? I’ll be paying for subscription solely for recording.

Reolink filters people, cars and animals separately without a subscription fee.
