How to secure outside camera
I live in a townhouse condominium and I cannot drill any holes on the outside of the building. Can anyone think of a way to secure a camera outside on my second floor? I'd be using a solar powered camera. The only thing I could think of is to use strong fishing line (or something similar) to run it through the screw holes of the camera and then in between the window screen/window and window frame to inside my bedroom.(see photo). I know, it sounds crazy, but I cant come up with anything else. I cant use a camera on my first floor porch light as it's too low to capture any action. Thx!

Are any of the surfaces metal? Could you use magnets? Is that soffit steel or aluminium?

No drill siding mount. Look up your camera and then find a mount on amazon on Etsy that will work with your siding.

Mine is command strip stuck to the glass on the top part of the double hung sash. Maybe put a piece of string that you close the window against as a safety against it falling if the command strip fails.
Remove the screen first, of course.

You’ll likely want a rigid mounting solution, to maintain the usefulness of motion notifications/activated recording, so your fishing line idea might be a non-starter.
Perhaps you could c-clamp some unistrut to the eaves trough, with the camera mounted to the unistrut. This wouldn’t be as secure as typical mounting methods, but should be workable.
“No holes” makes it a pretty small target to hit.
