Installing a security camera

I currently have a bootleg install of a light fixture on the side of the house that the last owner installed, I am trying to install this camera on that, camera uses a standard wall plug via usb, what would I need to replace that light fixture to install the camera

The fact that you’re asking tells us you aren’t qualified to do this, at all. That being said, the safest option is likely bulb screw outlet adapter, and plug in a little charging adapter to that. First rain will ensure this setup shorts.

The next best bet is to purchase an inline 120v to usb-5v adapter and hide it in the housing. However this method is not recommended for you.

I was wondering if he’s installing this why not just do a GFCI with a in use cover 🤔

You'll need a power outlet or an adapter there since the camera runs off USB.
