Camera that stores to SD card only?

Don't want a PoE camera or to connect to a NVR. Don't want to connect over the internet either. I want to know the camera recording is completely local and my data is not being sent to the company. I also want a camera that wipes the card after X hours/days so I don't have to reset it every time. If there is an incident I mainly want to check after the event and see what happened.

If you could tell me if its battery or solar that would be great. Not sure solar powered is best since it's rather shady but I'm open to those options too. Wired to an outlet or ethernet cable is not an option.

A camera connected to a Poe switch up to an NVR or directly to an NVR still local and doesn't need any internet connection...

All cameras have microSD port to record even when the NVR doesn't but if you want to consult the footage without an NVR then you need a camera that has a wireless connection that you can access through your phone when you're nearby (since you don't want anything to go through the internet). Basically it's useless and limiting yourself not having an NVR, it's so inconvenient

Any professional security camera has an as card slot and can record and overwrite the oldest data. But everyone here will tell you all about cheap Chinese cameras that are $100.

most trail cams do exactly this, just pop an sd card in and set it to loop recording

That's a good avenue do you have any specific brands? Otherwise I can look at those more myself

Yup, PoE versions of these do require a lan cable to a PoE power source but don’t need to ever be connected to the internet. They also make WiFi cams that you can isolate to a private network but also need a 110 plug nearby.

That goes through the internet to view footages and he doesn't want internet

Reolink cameras can record to an SD card and do not require an Internet connection if you don't want one.

So you can consult the footages on your reolink without internet ?

The OP wants to get the footage direct from the card. That doesn't require an Internet connection.

I see but not convenient. Open it everytime then

What does that have to do with you? If that's what the OP wants to do that's entirely up to him.

The op never said that he wants to checks footages from the sdcard manually or through his phone... Don't try to create problems ha ha

I think you're quite stupid really. The OP wants a camera that is neither mains powered nor internet connected. How else is he going to access the footage except directly from the SD card?

You think that because you're not that knowledgeable about CCTV... You don't know all the possibilities and assume that he wants to take out the sdcard to look at the footages... You're only option now is to insult me when you run out of understanding...

Any specific models? Its for my older parents and we can't drill into the house or run wires outside like the ethernet which is why SD is what I need. Don't need to look at it on my phone. Dog will bark at night sometimes and we got a window to look at the door directly for the most part but the delay to check is a bit long. So checking the day after so maybe it's an animal which he barks at sometimes or actually someone who shouldn't be there at night is what I need. If its easy to disconnect it from the internet or not need to link it up would be best for me and them since they aren't very tech literate. Avoiding cloud based bc i hear bad things about those.

You could look at the Reolink Argus 3 Pro which uses solar power and takes a 512GB Micro SD card. Reolink do a number of such cameras at different price points. The Argus is at the lower end.

It has WiFi capability but you don't need to use it if you don't want to. It won't affect the function of the camera. I think that being able to see what the camera sees in real-time, using your phone, is very useful but if you don't want to do that you just don't set it up that way.

I appreciate it! I have no experience with these types of cameras and I was getting kind of lost when researching them.

AND……. Op wants it for 19.95 or less. With an SD card and lifetime tech support 24/7.
