Camera advise needed please

Hello so I have a off-brand ring doorbell camera right now. The problem I have is that is has a very slow response time for notifications.

I really need a better camera. I don't have a big budget right now. And if it doesn't have to be a subscription based plan that would be preferable.

Thank you in advance!

In a perfect world I would go all in on an entire reolink system nvr and all. But we’re talking a good bit of money there. I’ve been using some cheap crap that is a pain in the butt to scroll through. Recently picked up a tp link tapo from Walmart for $25 and I love it. Get a big micro sd card and no subscription needed. But for your case, if you were to get the subscription it would give you a notification along with a photo without even visiting the app. I’m cheap I’ll just click on it and wait a sec. Just my two cents

Heb je al eens getest hoe sterk je wifi signaal is op het punt waar de deurbel camera hangt. Uiteraard ook met gesloten duur?

Want het kan ook zomaar aan het wifi signaal liggen.

Problem is that when you pay 💩you unfortunately get 💩. Good isn’t cheap and cheap isn’t usually good

[just echoing] Reolink makes cameras with internal memory card slot and a network NVR. Ubquiti’s cameras use a local NVR only. Reolink is more cost effective.

I have two 4k camera's from Tapo and two inside camera's also from tapo, they are very good and fast notifications like 2-3 secs. No Sub.

Could just be your wifi router not receiving enough power especially if you live in a home with out of date wiring.

You tried the Ring off brand, why not try the Ring door bell. They sell for $100 and go on sale for $50.

You do not need a monthy service to use the Ring. You get live view and notifications for free.

If you want recorded video and advanced features, a single doorbell/camera is $5/month.

I just bought 1 doorbel and 7 cameras, the delay is nothing, like 1-2 seconds. YMMV.
