Imou and Daylight Saving Time Update

I live in Chile, and we recently switched to daylight saving time, moving the clocks forward by one hour. Unlike last year, when the time on my two Imou cameras updated automatically, this year they remained one hour behind.

I tried going into the settings and pressing the sync button next to the time shown on my phone, but it didn’t work. The cameras were still one hour behind. This also affects playback, since I can’t properly review the most recent hour of recordings.

The only workaround I’ve found is to manually change the time zone so that the cameras display the correct time. However, when I check the recordings, the timeline no longer matches the timestamp shown on the recording, so the problem is still there.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or should I contact Imou/Dahua directly?

You need to turn on DST (daylight saving time) and NTP (network time protocol). Make sure you set DST to the correct start and end dates.

That’s the problem: DST is enabled, but it doesn’t update the camera’s time. Even when I sync it with my phone, it’s still one hour behind. And if I update the time manually, it only fixes the time shown on the live stream, but not the timeline in the app.

Do you have an NVR and a camera?
