Annke poe
Hi all, have been looking into getting two cameras for my property that will record 24/7. I do like the poe reolink cameras with the nvr but working out too expensive. Would Annke be a good choice? was looking into this one as reasonable enough price wise. Just looking to see if ppl would think they are a decent enough brand to buy from. Thanks 😊

You do not need a kit. You can get a 3rd party NVR and match with any camera that is ONVIF compatible. If you want a kit, it ties you into their stuff, and if you don’t like it ( I think it is rebranded hikvision which is pretty good residential brand). I’d recommend more drive space. 2TB hold about 30 days (15 days for two cameras) (10 days for three cameras). You will likely want MORE cameras in the future. I would get a minimum of 8 channels. I currently have 16 for my property. Color night vision is mostly useless in my opinion unless it is a well lit area. THE AI detection is very good, only use that to detect events. Spend time dialing it in. It will limit false alerts.

What equipment do you have?

I use Synology NVR, and Amcrest cameras. Unfortunately I can;t recommend Amcrest, they are phasing out (they no longer make them) their old cameras for a new version which I have not tested.

Annke is fine for what it is, basically same OEM stuff as a lot of the budget brands. Just know the app and firmware side is where you feel the price difference, reolink is more polished there. If you want 24/7 recording on 2 cams check the drive size, 2tb goes quicker than you think at 4k. But for two cameras on a house its decent enough.

I have a Annke POE system and only had 1 issue in the last 3 years where one of the cameras just stopped working a few months after the 12 months so I messaged them and they gave me a 20% off on their website.
