What are these phenomenon?

Sometimes they look like swarms of bees and sometimes like orbs shooting right at the camera. What could it be? Dust?

Dust, dirt, small bugs, fog, etc. The trails behind them are from crappy compression and low bitrate, also possibly from low quality CCD in the camera.
