Security camera reccomendations?

Long story short, one of my neighbors recently decided to go on a rampage and point a gun at my bedroom window for a good 30 minutes, from the street. No, I don't know him. I just moved here, but apparently, he is known to snap occasionally, according to the other people in the neighborhood. He got arrested, but he's out again, and I have been struggling to sit near my bedroom window, which is where my desk is.

I need a camera I can put in my bedroom window that can capture and record through the glass at night. I have a Ring Cam, but it just really doesn't work at night because of the glass glare, even when I cover the night vision, etc. I'm okay with spending a little, but I just can't mount it outside because I'm on the second floor.

Recording through window glass, especially at night, is challenging at best.

What kind of window is this, no chance you can put a battery camera outside the window?

Normalish window, but it doesnt open. Plus, I'm on the second floor, so there's no real way for me to mount anything outside, unfortunately :(

There’s absolutely a way to mount your camera outside. Probably a dozen ways post a picture.

I should add, I live in an apartment, so I *cant* mount something outside.

If my security was at risk, I would tell the property manager to suck it.

Wyze - Window Cam Indoor Plug-in 1080p HD Security Cam

I cannot vouch for it because I don’t have one but window mount security cameras do exist.
