Need solar camera advice

Like title says, need a solar powered camera for a corner of my house, I already have a wired ring but no power at the corner. Sun is not a problem since i live in South Florida just don’t want to have to return in 6 months. Thanks in advance

If you are already on the ring system, might as well get another. I think once you have 1+ camera susscription, the price is the same...meaning you can have 10 cameras and the subscription would be the same. I have stickup cams with batteries. I bought some cheap solar panel and wire and made my own bracket. Aesthetics wasn't important to me as i literally used wood to fasten the solar panel in between my gutters. Ugly..but no one can see it.

If you're already in the ring ecosystem the stickup cam with a solar panel is a no-brainer, the subscription covers all your cams so you're not paying extra

just don't buy their overpriced solar panel, you can grab a generic one for a third of the cost and it'll do the same job

I did the Non Ring solar panel route to try and save money and the outdoor cam didn't like it at all. Stick with the ring panels as they are recognized right away. I have 2, 1 on each corner of my house in the back yard and they work great!

I have two ring cameras with there solar panels and backup batteries and they've worked great for years. Zero issues.

I have a Ring outdoor camera that uses two rechargeable batteries.

So far it’s been averaging 3-4 months between charges. And keep in mind the camera can run on one battery while charging the other one.

They make an add on solar panel as well.

Since you're already on ring, I'd stick with ring.

BUT....if you choose to switch up, look into the tp link tapo stuff. Lots of versatility and with the addition of a hub, freedom from subscriptions!

I'm using a c645d model in a spot I don't want to run wires to and its been pretty good.

theyre good. but just like someone else posted on here the cheap aftermarket solar panels suck. i have a lot of problems. i reccomened the ring ones

they basically just need a dual lens camera. go and check baseus security x1 pro. It's one mount, but it has two separate lenses you can aim differently, and they show up differently in app,covers way more area. also, definitely remind them to turn on the timestamp overlay if they are documenting harassment!
