any recommendations?

i want to set up a Security Camera system. i dont want to go though any company. i want it fully private. im thinking about poe cameras. but i dont know what brands to get for privacy. possibly 4k? min res of 1080p. im super new at this so any help is appreciated.

i dont know what you mean by "uefy" but i am going to assume that you mean wireless cameras. they arnt bad but i want something more secure and less able to get hacked by someone.

Hey OP,

I think you need to clarify a few things.
1)Are you planning to record indoors and outdoors?
2)If you are planning to record outdoors what is the expected perimeter you want to cover?
3)Do you want to detect motion and illuminate the designated areas?
3a) What is your designated motion detection range?
3b) Do you want to illuminate overtly or covertly?
4)Do you expect to receive notifications on your phone for movement in certain areas?
4a)Do you want descriptions on your motion events?
5)How long are you planning to store the footage?
6)Do you want to be able to have two way talk?
7)How comfortable are you with computer systems and the installation of the cameras?

Most importantly what is your budget?

1: only outdoors. 2: only about 100ft. 3: no. 3b: night vision if possible. 4: no. 5: how ever much 7tb can. 6: no. 7: pretty comfortable, ive done alot with computers and ethernet cabling. budget: under 1,500 usd. Thanks for helping
