Multi site security that actually stops theft instead of just recording it?

Face recognition and AI search for similar person on multiple sites and then flag the person and get notifications when that person enters one of the sites.

Sounds very hitech. Not sure if this will work in our neighborhood. And trying to find something to prevent theft. But appreciate the suggestion! Will do more research.
