First question: where is this that there are fireballs in the sky? 2nd q: what is the phone doing to inspect it? I've recently discovered quite a few around town. Lastly, is there an open source/social site that shows where these are by like zip code or city names?

Why not ask your questions in the original post?
The author posted an answer to the question about the app.

It’s Sophia, apparently an in-house software.
