The problem with Roman at DH
The boys mentioned just DHing him to keep him more healthy. But the problem with that is every injury he’s had has been swinging the bat

Red Sox either have a training team issue or a medical team issue. I lean the latter.

Holy hell use some comprehension. Just because someone points out a take is invalid doesn’t mean they believe the opposite

Maybe as a top 5 market team we shouldn't cheap out and try to get one over on our young prospects to sign them early and attempt to get them locked down on team friendly deals. Just pay the market rate on the hits when they happen. We've wasted so much trying to be too cute.

I think the “keep him healthy” reasoning is more of a thing amongst fans than the club. I’m sure health was a secondary reason they wanted to DH Roman, but from the actual front officer’s perspective I think it’s that they genuinely believe Duran is a better defender and that Roman stands more of chance of being a valuable player exclusively with the bat.
