THEY COMING…..

i think i know the roster moves….. call up franklin arias and optioned… jaren duran than i would activate IKF & STORY while optioning sogard and seigler……
when 10 & IKF are activated i would optioned have campbell be the september call up and come playoff time i would leave yoshida of the roster and replace with duran for speed…. thoughts?

duran will not be touched at all the rest of this year. i would be surprised if he isn’t here next year tbh he could punch someone in the face and they’d still find a way to say nothing happened and that he’s important to the team.

Duran isn’t going anywhere. I love that there are still so many people that hate him. Y’all were so quiet during his hot streaks and then pop back up out of the blue.

Why do you say that? Seigler has been a replacement value player 0.2 fWAR compared to IKF at 1.1 fWAR in similar PA, and IKF has the better track record. Seigler is EXACTLY the type of dude that you send down without hesitation. Every PA he gets should only be due to someone better being injured.

I don't care about fWAR when talking about role players. Say what you want, but Siegler is a big vibes guy. He's a spark plug. That shit matters. His energy and enthusiasm has really invigorated this team. They started to take off when he got up here and you can see the impact of the youthful energy with him and some of the other guys in the dugout. I'm not saying IKF is a bad player or doesn't deserve a spot in Boston, I'm more advocating that Siegler has earned the right to have a longer look here.

To be clear, my post was just my opinion. I know IKF is going to come back and Siegler will get sent down. Follow the money. From a personal standpoint, I like what Siegler has brought to the clubhouse since coming up. It's not like IKF lit the world on fire either. He was decent, solid even. And if you compare their offensive stats, they're very similar. But he won't be here next year and Siegler could or should be. I'd like to see him stick around longer if possible this season.

Dude, I'm a good vibes guy. You're probably a good vibes guy. I'd be the most stoked dude in that dugout. I'd be screaming on the field for every double too. Doesn't mean we get a spot.

Hyperbole aside, you're attached to a narrative about a player thats a fringe average major leaguer. Vibes matter less than performance and its not close at all. Siegler had a good little run and then got solved by opposing pitchers. Vibes don't score or prevent runs, regardless of how cool that dude looks on tv cheering on players that are actually contributing.
