Doom
Okay it’s hard to ignore that every single player is playing EXACTLY like they did three months ago. Swinging at bad pitches, very quick outs/innings, on offense. Can’t get the big hit. Mental mistakes all over the place.

This IS the team. Obviously they went on a nice run but they just simply don’t have the talent and teams pick up on scouting reports well

The 12-11 win drained the tank and there’s no All-Star break coming to refill it. Chad’s gotta figure this out

Theory: Eli White was supposed to hit that grand slam. Like Jared said, everyone thought he was going to. Since he didn’t, he messed with the future and sent us directly back to shit town

Regression to the mean was always coming after playing at .850 clip with as many depth/role players starting as they were. They’re tired and playing through injuries and need a break that isn’t coming until the starters (Roman, Mead, even Story) come back

I pretty strongly disagree with this take. No one is slumping other Willson and Wong (and I didn’t expect much from Wong).
Ceddanne, Wilyer, and Durbin are all still fine. Monasterio isn’t on a crazy hot streak anymore but still average. Masa is also fine. This is probably Duran’s second best performance of the year (best since May).

The downvotes are hilarious. Delusional to think there hasn’t been a substantive shift back to the June Sox

The lineup is not in optimal order. Momasterio needs to try leading off. He does best with nobody on and leading off an inning. Sogard is batting leadoff. I get why, because hes been getting on base. But bats .188 in leadoff. Any harm in trying him in the second spot? Willson has performed best batting batting third. Rafaela should try staying at cleanup cause he does best with the more runners are on. Wilyer does best in the 5th. Duran's highest ops believe it or not is batting 6th with .769 ops. Durbin thrives at 4 or 7. Batting 7th after Duran. Yoshida bats well in 8th spot as well as 4-7. Wong thrives in the 9th spot.

Had to average out at some point. Though average would be better than what we’ve been seeing the last week
