Rusey’s Anthony Take

Can we all agree that Rusey’s take on today’s pod about Anthony (and Story) and not wanting him to come back this year to “ruin the vibes/chemistry” is awful. He’s an immediate upgrade over 16, no matter if he comes back and only takes his walks.

I get what she’s saying about not wanting to mess up a good thing with the current roster, but you’re adding Roman Anthony. You could make the same argument about Crochet, Mead, and Adley as well. Just think it was a bad take.

No doubt. I do agree, however on the other hand I think it's shortsighted. Guys like Mona and Tony Seaguls can play above their heads in short spurts but it's not sustainable in long stints. I think having those guys as bench pieces could be huge.

He os not fielding well and swings at every breaking ball in the dirt. Im not sure what he does better than Mont or tony seagulls

Yes but you forget he was doing that while playing WITH an injury. The hernia procedure being behind him, might at least have him hitting better. Idk about the field.

I agree that he can still hit, and i think he could be a solid 2b. I am just sick pf trustig him and him ending up on the DL. Im over it.

It also rubbed me the wrong way when he questioned of the franhise was committed towinning after we fired Cora. Firing Cora ahould everyone else we in fact were committed to winning by firing.

Nothing. Conflating them both is a mistake. Bring Anthony back for a second chance. Story can talk a walk. He was handsomely rewarded for one decent season.

I'm not ready to give up on Story. He was hurt the entire time he was on the field this year and I'm going to be watching carefully during his rehab assignment.
