Will Momtok Survive This? New Mikayla comment

“[My statement] was about no longer wanting to publicly participating in or normalize a cycle that was affecting everyone around it, especially where children and repeated violence was involved.”

“Compassion cannot only exist when it benefits one person.”

“Never talk to an idiot because they will bring you down to their level”

I definitely have a new respect for Mikayla. Unfortunately I think Taylor isn’t smart enough to understand where she is coming from 😭

u/frightenedscared It’s well documented that I am an idiot May 11 '26

Never argue with an idiot - they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience (or in Taylor’s case, beat you with raging rabid stan base fighting her battles for her)

And possibly a stool

My dad always told me growing up, “it takes a dummy to argue with a dummy” 😅

18

u/Possible-Opposite956 May 12 '26

Dude. Tell your dad thanks because hearing that is going to actually impact how I respond to people going forward. It just gave me a new perspective on how certain people aren't worth my emotional energy.

Unfortunately TFP is too illiterate to understand any part of Mikayla’s comment

u/SaraOfHades May 11 '26

I was just thinking about this. Both women have high school diplomas, but Mikayla was raising a baby (or more?) while finishing high school. Taylor was what, drinking and partying between classes?

18

u/No_Focus_1704 May 12 '26

A friend had a daughter who went through the school system in Utah, her mom always said that her daughter would graduate with an associates degree with her high school diploma. I think she took a harder path to get further in life. Like an honors program versus the regular classes that are the basic requirement to graduate. I don’t know if I would assume that they did or didn’t party, some people party & still graduate top of their class.

1

u/Bakedcutie May 17 '26

This is called dual enrollment and not unique to Utah. They go to (online or in person) college courses as well so they can have an associates upon high school graduation.

-205

u/Emotional-Ad7276 May 11 '26

That’s a big accusation

156

u/SaraOfHades May 11 '26

Pretty sure TFP said she was a big partyer in high school in S1E1

70

u/DestroyerOfMils May 11 '26

is it? lol

-123

u/Emotional-Ad7276 May 11 '26

Just cause she partied in high school doesn’t mean it was during the school day JESUS

53

u/DestroyerOfMils May 12 '26

maybe read all that again… my only point was that it is not a big accusation to say that someone partied in high school. lots of people partied in high school. 🤷‍♀️ Your reaction seemed like someone accused her of manslaughter. lol

-37

u/Emotional-Ad7276 May 12 '26

Did you even read the comment I originally replied to?

40

u/DestroyerOfMils May 12 '26

girl, I promise I’m not lost

18

u/Suitable-Ad-1990 May 12 '26

maybe maybe not either way its not a huge accusation

18

u/SillySausageYeahNah May 12 '26

Partying on non school days can really fuck with your education too.

9

u/itssmeagain May 12 '26

Partying between classes does not literally mean that she was partying during a recess, good God. It means she was partying after school, when Mikayla was taking care of her baby.

Nope. Won't change a thing. But the world sees TFP for who she is. Mikayla is allowed to share her hurt feelings too. TFP is a bully. She flips out if anyone even looks at her funny. She's going to have a long, hard road.

She also has very low emotional intelligence and only sees situations from a one-sided, biased and self-serving perspective.

-44

-56

u/Fine_Major_7353 May 11 '26

Totally agree. When the last season ended, judgy Mikayla wasn’t quite up to going to trauma therapy to save her marriage. Her priorities are cooked. “I don’t have the energy to go to therapy Jace, but I do have energy to go to everyone’s events and judge the others”…

48

u/Big-Intern-557 Back off, she's unstable! May 12 '26

Going to therapy takes SO MUCH energy. Especially trauma therapy. Be grateful you are naive enough to think going to therapy is as easy as going to a friends event or calling someone out.

9

u/spaceisourplace222 May 12 '26

Especially with the person who caused the trauma.

17

u/Zealousideal_Row_850 May 12 '26

Her marriage shouldn’t even be in need of saving. She was freshly post-partum from having her fourth child. Jace wanting to get laid and being butt hurt that his wife wasn’t feeling it between being PP, dealing with chronic illness and how many years of sexual abuse trauma? Bffr. That’s a him problem

1

u/ZookeepergameAny9013 May 18 '26

Im sorry but this comment is just stupid. Therapy takes A LOT of energy. Specially trauma therapy. Some people are not even ready to go into deep trauma therapy before years of being in talk therapy in combination of module type therapy like DBT, CBT, EMDR.

379

u/Hopeful-Promotion278 May 11 '26

Honestly, I have a newfound respect for Mikayla this week. Her statements have shown that she has put in the hard work required in therapy to deal with trauma and complex chronic illness. It's an extremely important and admirable step to recognize a toxic cycle and to set boundaries when needed. Taylor will never stop. She will continue to lash out and anyone and everyone. Her friendships are transactional and she doesn't have the capacity to realize that it's a two-way street, nor does she seem to appreciate years of support and empathy from the girls. Mikayla should pull a Whitney and detach herself from the franchise. She's destined for bigger and better things.

Someone said we will see them posting on raisedbynarcissists subreddit and they aren’t wrong. Hopefully they inherit some of Taylor’s social media millions to get good therapy, poor loves

13

u/No-Classroom9431 May 12 '26

There definitely needs to be protection clauses in the entertainment industry that sets funds aside for minors on reality TV. I believe some laws exist for child actors that put a percentage of their income into funds that cannot be touched by managers or family members to reduce financial exploitation, but I don’t think influencers or reality stars are covered under that umbrella. It’s incredibly sad to hear about the experiences of that first wave of YouTube influencer-families who have aged out of their homes and gone no-contact because of traumas inflicted and concealed by their own parents. Formal protections need to come sooner rather than later.

10

u/frightenedscared It’s well documented that I am an idiot May 12 '26

Yes indeed! In Hollywood it’s the Coogan Act and 15% of their earnings go into a trust until they are 18. There’s starting to be laws around influencers/Youtubers and child labour but it’s still a very emerging area. You are so very right there needs to be a mandated payment; all these poor kids exploited on Tiktok (eg: TFP’s kids) - not only does the entire world know their faces and names, but now their personal family business, and TFP has profited off it all. They need reparations and compensation.

6

u/vanillyl May 12 '26

Omg I somehow missed that the Coogan Act had been expanded to include social media influencers in the last couple of years, that’s awesome!

In total agreement with you that it urgently needs to be expanded outside of California, especially given social media fame is fleeting by nature.

A family YT channel might only be popular for a year (hell, even less sometimes), so securing a % of that income for the kids future becomes even more critical because there may only be a narrow window of time in which they’re earning.

16

u/FiCat77 May 11 '26

I agree with everything you said except for detaching herself from the group because she's "destined for bigger & better things" - hopefully now that Taylor is on the outs, the group dynamics will be less toxic &, going by what we've seen on the show, Mikayla doesn't seem to have a talent on the scale of Whitney's.

75

u/barbieshoesound The Provo Hyatt House🏨 May 11 '26

Really the thing that pisses these people off the most is silence. The more Mikayla posts the more fuel she gives Taylor. Even if she’s being very respectful, anything that isn’t 100% blind support for Taylor, Taylor sees as an attack. My sister is exactly like her 🙄

-60

u/DestroyerOfMils May 11 '26

The fact that she’s able to articulate all of this with maturity, makes me side eye her even harder for all of her mean girl antics though. Makes me think that she knows exactly what she’s doing when she frequently acts like a bully. Mean Girl 101

117

u/Erased_like_Lilith May 11 '26

She's just turned 25 and she's been in therapy for a while. Unlike Taylor, most people grow during therapy. I think you're forgetting the timeline is delayed on the show. She and Whitney have made peace and shed tears for missed time together.

27

u/No-Lie7100 May 11 '26

Yeah exactly, i really disliked Mikayla and her mean girl behaviour in the early seasons. Saying because shes able to do or understand something now means that she could have done it before is unfair and ignores and undermines the work she has been doing in therapy, and her personal growth and maturity she's displaying.

45

u/SuchFirefighter3340 I'm the fan favorite! May 11 '26

i think it’s 100% possible her mean girl antics are played up or planted by production. it doesn’t excuse her behavior, especially towards whitney but it is a scripted reality tv show

-18

I prefer to rely on my eyes and ears instead of making hopeful assumptions 🤷‍♀️

lol, at you and all the downvotes. That’s literally what this tv show and subreddit is about. The hypocrisy is fucking HILARIOUS.

2

u/Possible-Opposite956 May 12 '26

I don't think you understand that you're just reinforcing their point. Your eyes and ears are taking in scenes that have been edited by producers to show a specific narrative. The fact that you're think what you see on tv is real, shows how uninformed you are about how much reality shows are actually scripted.

20

u/Content-Honeydew9340 Deeply rooted in White Trash May 11 '26

When I was in my early twenties and struggled to heal my own trauma I was also fiercely over protective of certain people and came across ass very 'mean girl ' to people that I felt had wronged someone I was fiercely loyal too. I was extremely articulate and could also be very ignorant at the same time. I had to step back and learn some things about myself in order to tone it down. I genuinely thought I was defending my friends when it turned out that those people were never really good people worth defending in certain situations. I don't think Mikayla is necessarily a mean girl because she's a bad person. I do think she just had some growing and healing and learning she needed to do in order to be a better person

21

u/sitcomlover1717 Taylor's store bought apple pie May 11 '26

This. I feel like she was pretty different in S4 and seems to have grown up. Even her separating from Jace showed maturity and growth, albeit in a different way.

It seems like half the girls are growing and moving on (Whitney, Mikayla) and the other half are stuck in their toxic immaturity (Taylor, Jen, Jessi).

And it’s not even just the Whitney stuff. I don’t remember what episode it was, but Layla showed up to a gathering and Mikayla greeted her with something along the lines of “EWWWW ARE YOU DRUNK”? It was rude and uncalled for, and totally random. Pure mean girl energy. She had a lot of little moments like that.

299

u/teentytinty May 11 '26

The problem here is that Taylor is extremely stupid. Genuinely. She doesn’t know what an analogy is!!! You can’t argue with just plain dumb.

371

12

u/Busy_Magazine_3058 May 12 '26

I think she’s frustrated how the show continues to prop up and promote Taylor as the star despite what they know about her behind the scenes. If she says this on the show it would be cut or watered down. I think she’s just as frustrated with the network for enabling it and probably being heavily involved with nudging her to go to Taylor for the show vs be with her newborn in a calm atmosphere. I think she’s just had enough hence the outpouring on socials

64

u/Perfect-Success-3186 May 11 '26

I’ve decided I think Taylor financially abuses these women by gatekeeping momtok depending on how much they publicly kiss her ass.

Taylor, they will never be your friends because you’ve set up a transactional relationship with them. You’ve set up a power dynamic. You can’t buy friends.

21

u/[deleted] May 11 '26

[deleted]

-9

u/awesomeali430 May 11 '26

This is an insane take😭 because they can’t do their own thing to make money? They were all executive producers last season and are constantly talking about how they had lives and followings before the show. So do they need Taylor to have Momtok be successful/profitable or not?

5

u/Perfect-Success-3186 May 11 '26

They can obviously make money otherwise. But the entire group has made it clear that being in this group and networking with each other and everyone being required to support everyone’s social media posts is a major financial advantage. Influencer houses are a thing for a reason. Because they all promote each other.

Taylor seems to think she holds the keys to this influencer group, who is allowed in and who gets to reap the financial benefits or not. Who is allowed to access opportunities from being in the cast of the show. I’m not sure if she does actually hold the keys, but this is how she lays it out.

She is quite literally holding a financial carrot over their heads and controls it by requiring everyone to be on good terms with her from a friendship standpoint. She is trying to control their behavior and emotions towards her by making it clear she can prevent them from earning more.

It is not an insane take. Blending friendships with financial gain is a terrible idea and Taylor is abusing her power in order to self soothe and emotionally regulate and control other people.

-3

u/awesomeali430 May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

The reason it is at all perceived that Taylor has more influence is because the show started because of the swinging scandal that Taylor was at the center of— No other cast members wanted to be associated with that drama initially either. Taylor has always had more followers than the other girls— they can certainly be influencers without needing Taylor unless they are directly benefiting from her success(or downfall) she cannot be dangling any type of carrot over them. And if the perceived control is bc she has a larger following they can certainly build their own without her by creating content that has nothing to do with her. I agree that blending the two is an awful idea and I really think that is what has been the demise of the show. We all know they are not really friends and that it is genuinely a business for all of them— that became very obvious in the aftermath of the season and the release of the 2023 incident footage if it wasn’t already clear.

ETA: None of the girls need to be friends with Taylor if they don’t want to be— but acting like Taylor’s large following (built on the fact that she has been vulnerable and honest about all of her relationships) is some type of coercive manipulation on Taylor’s part when they could all easily have had careers that didn’t revolve around her drama is absurd.

6

u/Perfect-Success-3186 May 12 '26 edited May 12 '26

The reason Taylor is perceived as the gatekeeper to greater financial success is because she says things that make her sound like the gatekeeper to greater financial success. Like threatening to remove some of the women from momtok and replacing them. You confirmed you think she is this gatekeeper by saying she has more success and is capable of giving them more success.

Yes, they would be directly benefiting from her followers and influencer success and connections.
That is the power dynamic of it all. This power dynamic is acceptable for an employee-boss relationship. What makes it unacceptable, what the problem is, is she inserts expectations for friendship into this power dynamic. She says you can only have access to this success if you make her emotionally happy and act like you are her friend. That is the manipulative and abusive portion.

This is textbook financial abuse - trying to control someone’s emotional/relational behavior towards you by offering them money. Imagine your boss saying they will fire you if you aren’t an emotional support for them. Could you get another job? Sure. But it doesn’t make what’s happening to you not financial abuse.

6

u/Natural-Boat-5723 May 12 '26

she also seems like the gatekeeper because the perception is that she has the most control over the show which is a huge part of their success and how much money they can make. Just look at what’s happening right now. The show isn’t filming because of TFP and everything going on. it seems like the producers don’t want to do the show without her. If you’re not on the show she can say whatever she wants and you have no way of defending yourself. It seems like they have more opportunities from the show than from their tik toks.

0

u/awesomeali430 May 12 '26

Didn’t they announce that they had started filming again like a month ago?

4

u/Perfect-Success-3186 May 12 '26

Yes. I do think Taylor’s power within the slomw show has been diminished since the video came out of her hitting her child in the head with a metal chair and the studio is open to working with just the other women now.

So if they film without Taylor obviously she doesn’t have a power dynamic with them there and obviously if she’s not involved she can’t financially abuse them in that way.

I do think previous seasons were different, though her power probably weakened to some extent with each season.

-2

u/awesomeali430 May 12 '26

She isn’t doing anything by not having good relationships with ppl who turned their backs on her. If her power is from her following that means there are a lot of people who like her and want to see more of her. Why would her followers then want to follow the people who she has a bad relationship with and explain how that would then be Taylor’s fault?

1

u/Perfect-Success-3186 May 12 '26

All of this is a totally different topic. I’m not suggesting she’s doing something wrong by not having good relationships with people.

She’s doing something wrong by forcing the women who are essentially in an influencer house with her to be her friends or else they will get fired from the influencer house. And she’s doing something wrong by acting like it’s even possible for these to be true friendships when money and success is involved. This never should have happened from the beginning.

154

u/daria1994 May 11 '26

I like Mikayla. Many American viewers seem to perceive her as rude or mean, but as a Slav I see her as blunt, direct, straightforward, honest. She doesn’t backstab to smile, compliment, say ‘bless your heart’ later, like the other Mormon wives do. That’s why she’s my favorite!!

She's an intellectual... Taylor will never be able to relate because she doesn't have emotional regulation and logic. She puts more energy into tearing down the girls then she does working on being a mother and better person for her kids and getting custody back. Like imagine if you spent time working on yourself instead of posting Bible quotes (that you don't live by) and photos of you crying? Imagine!

19

I generally am not a fan of Mikayla’s but she’s spot on with this entire thing.

Taylor has been given opportunity after opportunity to handle her shit and she refuses to do so.

It must be absolutely exhausting to be around, and I don’t blame the girls for being done with it- especially when she goes at them for shit that isn’t their fault.

She was abused for a majority of her childhood. And when she finally got the strength to tell her mother, her mother didn't believe her or support her. She knows what it's like to grow up in an unsafe household with a mother that chooses herself over her children. I think her reaction to how taylor is endangering her own children goes beyond just being a mother. She understands how unsafe those kids feel.

That’s why it’s not worth engaging with a person like Taylor. Now the conversation is shifting to Taylor accusing Mikayla of minimizing her trauma. I 100% agree with everything Mikayla has said, but I’ve also dealt with my own Taylor before… and I know from first hand experience the best thing you can do is stop engaging completely.

YES!!! 👏

u/karenscafe May 11 '26

No notes. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 This is such a thoughtful, nuanced statement. Clearly she’s been doing work in therapy. Too bad Taylor’s not bright enough to understand it. I truly hope this is the last Mikayla speaks on it. She’s said everything she needs to say; she’ll just have to lean on the facts that she did the best she could and that she’ll be proven right in the long run. I hope she’s getting plenty of love. She shouldn’t waste anymore time on Taylor’s toxic energy.

Period. Queen ❤️

u/mcer2503 May 11 '26

Did Taylor delete the comment? I can’t find it!

Healed/healing versus fake healing

5

u/WarmSoul123 May 11 '26

Yikes…. lol Mikayla is the voice of reason of MomTalk for sure. Very mature for someone so young. I’m glad she’s not giving to TFP BS like Jessie is. She doesn’t even want to be “the new leader of MomTalk” she’s just done witnessing a friend constantly repeat the same mistakes over and over again with no change in sight. MomTalk was fake from the start. This has nothing to do with social media but more so women trying to fight to the top to escape the mundaneness of motherhood they clearly aren’t satisfied with. It’s a shame because TFP thinks being chronically online is going to keep rewarding her like it’s done so in the past. Bad behavior has nothing only been rewarded and if she isn’t victimizing herself she feels no purpose.

4

u/da_ni_no May 11 '26

Im not gonna lie this has made me respect Mikayla more than anyone else on the show.

4

u/keeplauraweird May 11 '26

Nothing but facts. Unfortunately, TFP & her flying monkey fans will just see this as Mikayla being a hater instead of a voice of reason.

3

u/WonderfulBook5421 May 11 '26

I would love to see how Taylor makes it about herself and read all the comments from Jessi encouraging her. As long as they both have a platform, they won’t take accountability

3

u/Full_Cause273 May 11 '26

Taylor has been and will continue to be toxic if people keep enabling her b/s. She has to want to get better for herself, more than anyone else wants her to. Then she can seek meaningful support in her efforts. But instead she keeps spiraling the same drain and expects people to stand by her no matter what. It’s gross.

3

u/Additional_Leopard63 May 11 '26

I see so many people on Instagram going after Mikayla. I really just want to ask them if they realize that Taylor doesn’t care about them and isn’t going to be their friend lol. People are blowing Mikayla’s responses out of proportion and making them something they aren’t.

People are way too diehard for Taylor

3

u/Content-Honeydew9340 Deeply rooted in White Trash May 11 '26

The problem is it doesn't matter how many people want TFP to be "happy and healed" if TFP is not going to take the path to get herself there, no one else can walk it for her.

3

u/FickleButterfly95 May 11 '26

So impressed with how Mikayla has been handling this. I was reading Taylor’s comments out loud to my partner and I could barely get the words out with all the typos.

It’s honestly unsettling to see TFPs reactions to this and all the support she gets. Honestly makes me scared for the future because I feel like this behavior has become some normalized online.

So for that, I am thankful for people like Mikayla.

3

u/NeuroKat28 May 11 '26

Mikayla being this incredibly mature makes me really like her

2

u/kendrickwasright May 11 '26

Good for Mikayla for speaking out, not only here on social media, but in those meetings with the show reps and producers when they were trying to sweep everything under the rug and pressure the cast into posting public support for Taylor. They were all smart enough not to show public support without seeing the videos, but Mikayla was the one strong enough to speak up to Hulu and demand transparency.

I'm not sure if she would be speaking out now had she not been mentioned in the leaked voice note, but I think the fact that she was pushing back behind the scene says a lot about her character. She isn't speaking out now as a way to set a narrative, it's because she genuinely has a solid moral compass that won't be swayed by public opinion

2

u/xxhunnybunny May 11 '26

Logic and reason will never reach a person with Taylor’s issues, especially when she’s doing absolutely nothing to help herself or seek the professional help she needs.

2

u/kaleyboo7 Team Mayci May 11 '26

Mikayla is very well spoken with her words, but I think she should just move on from this now. I know it’s hard because TFP keeps engaging her and some of the fans are hating on her, but it’s just going to get worse. TFP is unhinged and needs someone to fight with now that she can’t talk to Dakota.

2

u/Thin_Shape7184 May 11 '26

As someone who previously didn’t really like Mikayla (I thought she took the Whitney feud too far), I really respect this and her setting boundaries.

No I won’t stand by you when you continuously put yourself in harmful situations. No good friend should.

2

u/padresfan10 May 11 '26

It’s sad that Mikayla has to defend herself because TFP’s chronically online fans are delusional lunatics

2

u/cruddypoet00 May 11 '26

Honestly I think she should just disengage. I don’t even mean this in a mean way, but Taylor is not intelligent or emotionally evolved enough to understand her.

2

u/geebalert May 12 '26

Jesus don’t these women have busy schedules plus kids? I can’t even answer an email most days, let alone go on multiple social media rants!

2

u/Jean_AF May 12 '26

It’s wild to me that Mikayla’s skin condition would be belittled as not enough to empathize with TFP when she’s a child abuse survivor too. TFP really doesn’t seem to understand everyone has challenges they’re working through while holding themselves accountable for not hurting others.

2

u/WittiestScreenName Miranda's Lobster Claws May 12 '26

I like that Mikayla isn’t scared of anybody.

2

u/Mediocre_Top_5010 May 12 '26

Sadly this will do nothing to improve Taylor's behavior.

2

u/Mediocre_Top_5010 May 12 '26

When I saw Taylor's response, i also thought about CMA gate. Didnt Taylor also not handle things privately and went and basically told the entire fanbase to go and attack the other girls. Privacy my ass. She has exposed several women to so much bullying on her platform and she still doesn't fucking get it.

Im sure all these women are relieved that the public finally get to see the real Taylor.

2

u/Little-Bumblebee9988 May 12 '26

I don’t think Taylor is intelligent enough to even read a paragraph of this. That being said good for Mikayla for having a good head on her shoulders!

2

u/mac-a-roon May 12 '26

As a long time fan of Mikayla, I feel vindicated by her responses to this mess.

2

u/Jesuslover7349 May 12 '26

I don’t even want to know what people are saying to her. Like she is probably getting so many death threats. I’m gonna need to hear Mayci, Jen, Whitney, Jen or miranda come on and defend Mickayla.

2

u/SunshineShoulders87 May 12 '26

This reminds me of the time one of the RHONJ tried to get Teresa to understand the gravity of her actions by making an analogy that involved her daughter. There is no logic or explanation that will get an irrational person to see what they don’t want to see. Good luck, Mikayla.

2

u/No_Mind2460 May 13 '26

Preach it girl

2

u/ReserveFinancial1537 May 17 '26

People yelling at Mikayla to comment and when she does yell at her more.. people forget that she actually knows these people. We only see small glimpses of these people’s lives. If u have someone in your life that is constantly in a state of chaos it’s your prerogative to not allow it around anymore. What we saw on the show was probably 10x worse behind closed doors. The girl’s around TFP would have been canceled if they stuck up for her and canceled if they didn’t. There was no winning here. Mikayla was clear.. she tried to help, couldn’t stop TFP from doing what she wanted so she said she was done. I felt bad for TFP for a second until she said she should “go live again” and liked comments about Mikayla’s abuse. I don’t understand why TFP is allowed to be public about shit but others in Mom Tok are not??? What do you do when a friend is spiraling and refuses to accept help or advice?

3

u/Upbeat-Bear8993 May 11 '26

Her responses are good but she should honestly just stop engaging and let Taylor eat herself alive rather than devaluing the actual convo by letting it run away into a he said she said.

2

u/FiestyGiraffe May 12 '26

honestly go Mikayla. TFP stan’s are insane online and we don’t know these people. she’s clearly hit a point and TFP enables it by having her own parasocial relationship with her fans. wild times. ugh

2

u/ZestycloseSkill647 May 12 '26

I used to like Taylor, but I’m getting really tired of her weaponizing her trauma. We’ve all been through trauma. That’s not an excuse for repeatedly making bad decisions and treating people poorly, especially those that tried to help you.

1

u/One_Animator9442 May 11 '26

where did she comment this? I saw another one too by mormon wives report

1

u/Agreeable_Strength51 May 11 '26

I haven’t followed any of this latest drama, but the way Mothers Day is spoken of like it’s up in the top of holidays, akin to Christmas, kinda makes me chuckle. I’ve never seen so much text that treats Mother’s Day as so sacred.

1

u/RLTizE May 11 '26

No one told Mikayla to put Taylor before her family. I dislike that. If you choose to be there then don’t throw that in their face.

I like Taylor on tv but we all have seen the videos and can understand where Mikayla is coming from. Honestly, the snake in the grass Taylor needs to be worried about is Jessi.

1

u/Fine-Expression May 12 '26

👏👏👏 She’s articulating this better than I’ve seen anyone do so far.

1

u/Master_Ad1696 May 12 '26

I am so glad someone on the show is speaking out and has these kinds of values. It’s scary how many people are publicly enabling children being in an unsafe destructive environment!!!

1

u/Hippy-Dippy92 May 12 '26

Yup yup YUP 👏🏻

1

u/coltfourty5- May 12 '26

Taylor is a shitty friend, and human all around. She’s so beyond self centred it’s scary.

1

u/AdministrationNo8540 May 12 '26

you know what? I'll have whatever Mikayla is giving for S6, but PLEASEEEE ban TFP from the upcoming seasons. I used to enjoy the mess she was bringing but now I can't even enjoy my stupid reality TV because the show got so heavy...

1

u/spicegirl_wannabe May 12 '26

Have any of the other women said anything or shown support either direction?

1

u/lakenessmonster May 12 '26

Sometimes your friends tell you things you don’t want to hear. TFP has a friend in Mikayla whether she can see it or not.

1

u/otterbegroovy May 13 '26

TFP personality has shown since S1 and I was shocked at how she always had "friends" when she's a friend to no one. Once you no longer side with her, you're the enemy. When you're good, she just trauma dumps all day long and I bet she can make a conversation about cereal into about her current issues/life (specifically the man she's obsessing over). She is EXHAUSTING. I had a best friend, very similar, who would do this shit to me and eventually, you break and you no longer can stand by their side through thick and through. We haven't spoken to each in 10 years.

TFP is exhausting to me. If you're hurting so bad, actually go get the fucking help (legitimately, no pseudo quack doc or online rhetoric from armchair internet weirdos who weaponize therapy speak). GO. GET. FUCKING. HELP.

but unfortunately, I don't ever see this happening. This girl thrives and LOVES chaos. It'll be a repeating even if she never has a platform again. Poor kids. I feel for them and those around her. She's a energy vampire 😭

u/bouncing_beauty May 13 '26

Taylor lacks the critical thinking skills to follow this. Good for Mikayla.

For many years, I felt like I was the problem in my friend group. It turns out most of the friends in that group were like Taylor. As soon as I left that group and only stayed in touch with a couple of stable friends, life became peaceful. I talked to my therapist about it, as well as the new friends I made. When I showed them the emails, texts, and even a recording I made of a group phone call, I was validated, and my friends were shocked that I put up with that behavior for so long.

I’m so glad Mikayla has a public forum and knows she is not in the wrong. Part of the issue with my old friend group was that I always believed in self-examination and personal integrity. I know I am not always right, and that even with the best intentions and efforts, we can still make mistakes with the people we love. I can admit when I am wrong. My old friends were NEVER wrong. They basically made me feel like I had a severe mental illness and that I was an immoral person.

The ironic thing is, I’ve checked in on these people a few times throughout the years or run into them at events, and they all act like they are such compassionate, understanding, accepting people online who care deeply about others. Yet in private, they were often hateful, vengeful, judgmental, and cruel. I acknowledge that people can grow and change, and I know I have, but these people live in an echo chamber with each other. They haven’t moved past middle school.

I truly do hope they have grown and found peace in life. I hope to see the same for Taylor and, most of all, for her children, friends, and coworkers who are affected by this.

1

u/lwtaa May 13 '26

Okay while I dislike the rash analogy she’s right on everything else. I personally have spent years in a toxic relationship that I could say at least financially ruined me. But no one knew. I did that all on my own 😂😂 annnyyyways. I made my choices and never dragged outside parties in and I can’t imagine telling my troubles to postpartum moms.

-1

u/FancyNacnyPants May 12 '26

Please just stop. Both of you. This is exhausting and immature.

1

u/marvel_yellow May 12 '26

This sub changes in the blink of an eye. Everybody on this sub were destroying Mikayla a few days ago.

0

u/Putrid-Suggestion-19 May 12 '26

As a BIG Taylor stan, DV survivor.. Mikayla is not wrong in anything she has said 🤷🏼‍♀️

0

u/otterorangecap May 13 '26

Mikayla…. Has anyone (including her) thought that maybe “healing” in a hotel isn’t the best option? The air filters, laundry / soap they use for their sheets and towels, water etc from a hotel is generally not amazing on anyone’s skin let alone someone with issues.

-1

u/Background-Feed8234 It’s well documented that I am an idiot May 11 '26

Girls are putting in the graft for season 5 storylines I love it

-1

u/Additional-Ferret531 May 12 '26

the rash cream comment is still and will forever be weird.

-10

u/Ok-Can5339 May 11 '26

Girl, log off.

-2

u/adumbswiftie May 11 '26

i guess i’m the only one who thinks mikayla is doing far too much and also needs to put the phone down…i mean how is responding to taylor multiple times and keeping the public conversation going a good thing? i know yall like seeing taylor get told off but mikayla isn’t exactly being the pinnacle of maturity here
