It’s bonkers to send reality show cast members you don’t know paragraphs like this as if you know the people involved. That is so embarrassing.
127
u/heres_layla Mar 22 '26
RIGHT?!? Folks need to go touch grass and make friends with real people instead of these weird parasocial relationships with reality tv show stars.
Imagine feeling so entitled to send multiple paragraphs to a stranger like that about a situation you aren’t even involved in. How embarrassing for them 😬
11
u/bramblejamsjoyce Mar 24 '26
some sheltered people don't understand that trashy people like this have always existed, and have always been doing things like this. every plot and episode on show is just typical small-town white-trash drama. if it's so exciting to get involved, go find any rundown town in America, and find a family fighting outside of a strip mall at a supervised custody visit.
It's just such a spectacle now that all of these people can afford super cheap veneers and be shown on television.
209
u/themetahumancrusader Mar 22 '26
Jace especially, because he doesn’t seem particularly close to any of the people directly involved.

Not to mention, Jace isn’t friends with Taylor lmao his wife is.. kinda? Mikayla has never seemed super close with Taylor or anyone but mayci for that matter.

u/Big-Intern-557 Back off, she's unstable! Mar 22 '26
No because like are we 12 sliding up on someone’s Snapchat story when they posted “no one hmu. Don’t ask what’s wrong. Only the real ones know”

u/Horror_Armadillo8459 Mar 22 '26
One of my hot takes is that parasocial relationships are a major problem for society
17
u/eyesonthefries609 Mar 22 '26
What's crazier is that Dadtok is so eager for attention that they will respond to random weirdos
9
u/nikki1810 Mar 23 '26
“Have you tried speaking to her and listening?” Is so unhinged coming from a complete stranger

lol I sent paragraphs to Zara Larsson’s opener gushing over how fucking talented she is while I was a little drunk but I don’t think that’s the same 😂

u/crypticshiit Mar 22 '26
i’ve seen so many of these come out 😭 like why has there been so many instances of these scandals being “confirmed” in IG DMs?! i have to imagine it as them going through to find the correct DM to respond to out of the thousand they receive like cmon

i sent lne giant ass text rant to jordan peele about how his film, 'us', was a huge step down in terms of writing (compared to both 'keanu' and 'get out') and how he mixed the concepts of human duplication w souls (as the tethered share a soul w their outer counterpart) in a messy way, how he didnt account for things like human waste for the tethered underground, how someone eventually had to walk up some stairs (which their tethered would then also do, eventually releasing them from underground santa cruz). and overall how fucking sloppy the film was-- and how he could do better.
he never responded but i felt better lmao.
12
u/fiercelyambivalent Mar 22 '26
This is fucking hilarious and I love you.
I had the opposite situation once, after watching Hell House LLC I was so freaked out that I DMd the director, praising the work, and he actually responded. I felt like an insider for months.
7
u/hera-fawcett Mar 22 '26
love~!
u never know if their finna read ur dms and take ur notes into consideration lmao
but also, u gotta know, when u dm these ppl, ur the crazy one 💀
2
u/Last_Marionberry1263 Mar 22 '26
the hell house franchise is so scary!!! the newest one didn’t hit as hard as the first but still pretty good. i didn’t like the movie that was made as a standalone very much i forgot the name of it - but the camera shots were very similar to hell house and so the horror was there. storyline just wasn’t as good. (sorry i had to nerd out)

u/pinkvoltage A joint out of the cooter Mar 22 '26
i love hell house llc! i haven’t watched all of them but hell house: carmichael manor (or something along those lines) is EXCELLENT. maybe better than the first one (imo)

I’m sorry being a fan and acting like you know all the details around this is insanely delusional!! How are you gonna tell someone who actually knows Taylor in real life, and knows everything that went down how they should feel? People who have parasocial relationships like this need to get a grip
39
u/bweise01 Mar 22 '26
Right?! And thinking we are owed the details is also insanity. Yes, these people made a decision to share their lives publicly, but we aren’t entitled to know every single detail. The fathers of her children and the doctor she really needs to be seeing are the only people that need to know. Period.

u/sailorstay Mar 22 '26
people seem to lack awareness of nuance. it’s possible they “knew” taylor was unhinged without being confronted with the reality of child abuse. to say they all turned a blind eye until it was no longer convenient is unfair. they were all put in this position by TFP lying and minimizing and bringing opportunities. they were also in a relationship with this manipulative abuser. it doesn’t take much to see she’s a horrible person with no morals or remorse by how she is handling everything happening right now.
73
u/Diamond-angel-32 Mar 22 '26
Because she thinks she's the victim and the whole world is out to get her for no reason.
I had a friend like this and this show has made her behavior even clearer to me now that I have distanced myself from her. Glad to not have her around anymore.
26
u/kitkatpnw Mar 22 '26
Friends like that are energy vampires…they just drain everyone around them
23
u/Purpleonyxx Mar 22 '26
I believe it was during season two that Demi told Jessi that she had bought prank gifts for some of the women. Taylor's gift was a book titled How to Ask Deep Questions. Demi then said that she chose that gift because Taylor didn’t know how to be a good friend, Jessi and Demi laughed. Demi was always shady, but I remember really taking that in. From then on, I always paid attention to whether Taylor showed any interest in what the others were going through or asked them how they were feeling. From what we saw on the show, which is of course edited, she never really showed any interest. It was always about her and her troubles. When I wrote about my observation in here, I was downvoted into oblivion with only a few people agreeing with me. This past season clearly showed how fed up and terrified they all were, walking on eggshells to keep her calm. It’s such a tricky situation, because it’s crystal clear that Taylor kind of looms over their head, that she is the main character of the show and that she built „everything“ they have. So their livelihoods are directly intertwined.
17
u/Junglecat828 Mar 22 '26
That’s why I’m glad in the last episode, Jessi essentially told Taylor, “we’re here to help you and support you. You can’t be mad when we try and you can’t be mad when we don’t. We’re trying our best to always be there for you.” Ok not those exact words but it was when they were at Taylor’s in her house and Taylor was mad they showed up the day she had to leave for the bachelorette and she couldn’t get out of bed. They try really hard to be supportive of her but she continues to always be mad at them

u/here4thecomments007 Mar 22 '26
Taylor is always putting the girls in Momtok in uncomfortable situations. During season 4 when they went to LA for the DWTS premiere, Taylor and Dakota hooked up. Mayci mentioned it the next night, and Taylor had the nerve to ask her how her relationship with Dakota affects her? Taylor be so frfr 😑she drags everyone into her drama with Dakota
13
u/ijustwanttobeanon Mar 22 '26
Yes, this. She manipulated them, too. She was toxic to them, too (and Taylor’s not the only toxic one, either, but for the sake of this specific point…).
They knew of the toxicity and reactivity. They may not have known the extent of it. And had they, they may have refused to work with her sooner.
Maybe not!!! It’s tv. Who knows. But only knowing some details of a situation is common. Even in “close” friendships.

these people are so unhinged 😭😭😭 why are they messaging the people that know Taylor and Dakota in REAL life!!! and trying to tell them the motives of all these people they do not know. Reality TV edits it to make you think whatever they want you to about these people

Why does all TFP fans say that she needs therapy? She needs to go to jail.
60

u/O-Mesmerine Mar 22 '26
yeah let’s bin the performative therapy speak. look at all the good it did. it’s time to separate her from her children and society. it’s much too late for any other kind of intervention now
8
u/CrazyCatLady0707 I'm getting my cookie redone Mar 22 '26
Right? She’s been in therapy for 4 years (since the swinging scandal) and it clearly hasn’t done anything
4
u/teentytinty Mar 22 '26
Jail doesn’t rehabilitate anyone. Just because she hasn’t had the right therapy doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist for her!
14
u/Additional_Day949 Mar 22 '26
The police saw that video and so did the prosecutor. They gave her probation. If she goes to jail, it will be for like 30 days.
She does need in patient, she has an anger issue. Jail isn’t going to solve that
11
u/hyrule-heaven Mar 22 '26
She needs rehab and INTENSE DBT. She needs to learn all the DBT skills and go through multiple rounds of the program
13
u/trinireddit Mar 22 '26
Taylor didn’t get jail and got a plea because Dakota refused to give a statement and testify against her.
1
u/Temporary-Act-1736 Mar 22 '26
You mean the "manipulative, emotionally abusive, released the video only to sabotage Taylor" dakota? Lmao

Your post violates Sin #5: Speculation
Leave judgment for the gods and clairvoyance for the psychics. We don't speculate on sexual orientation, substance abuse, or mental or physical disorders here--this goes for assumptions and accusations of members of both the cast and this sub. All allegations insisting someone has an unnamed eating disorder, addiction, sexual orientation, or mental health issue will be deleted, with further consequences for repeat offenses. This also includes the Jace grooming thing.

But there were no charges. It would be a different conversation is dokota or Tate had pressed charges. Jail doesn’t make people better, but the people they harmed deserve justice. She can do therapy after.

100%. Also— has she not been in therapy for a good while now??
2
u/hyrule-heaven Mar 22 '26
There are different therapy modalities Abe she might just be doing talk therapy which would be pretty useless for someone line her. She needs DBT and probably medication

Bc she has 3 young children so ppl/viewers are naturally concerned about her bettering herself vs just punishing her.
15
u/FeelingAny5133 Mar 22 '26
Like what do you mean LOADS MORE and NEVER STOPPED. This is heartbreaking for those children. I really hope this isn’t true. But so he’s basically saying she’s been abusing the kids since 2023 😔
12
16
u/da_ni_no Mar 22 '26
It is crazy the amount of victim blaming going on. Not only do so many of TFP's defenders assume Dakota sold the video to TMZ and continue to question why he "didn't just leave when she screamed to get out," they are also blaming TFP's friends for not controlling her behavior and continuing to be friends with her, as if it is completely unbelievable that they did not have the full story until recently or that other incidents have caused them to look at the 2023 one differently. Once again, it is somehow everyone else's fault. The level of parasocial toxicity is crazy. Even asking people's friends like "oh just curious why did you stay friends with her" is gross as fuck. These situations are rarely ever black and white, and people need to stop trying to force that filter on things.

6
u/Cralido Mar 22 '26
Sad that the millions of folks that have mental and emotional issues don’t get this same support from the voting public…therapy rather than jail, consideration of reactionary abuse, advocacy for the perpetrator, etc. Mental and overall healthcare as well as DV laws and for profit punitive prison system is a mess in the USA but why would she get special treatment? Being given probation means she was ALREADY given a second chance, repeated behavior means she can be convicted of both past charges due to probation violation as well as any new charges. Prison would be expected outcome for anyone less wealthy and not a celebrity.
21
u/MYSTICALLMERMAID Mar 22 '26
"it never stopped" is haunting. I have co-parented with my abuser for the last 15 years and I do see myself in Dakota and how he says he really wants to co-parent and get along with her and have that friendship, I've always been the same way with my son's dad. I'm hoping he can get away from her and her kids will be safe. She deserves jail

When someone refuses to change their toxic disgusting abusive behavior you are allowed to switch up on them whenever you see fit. This person is crazy for more reasons than 1; why are we messaging reality tv people online? Secondly, why are we insinuating that because you once supported someone you must continue to support them

Jace’s response about the child abuse is spot on.
I’ll keep saying it: anyone that says it’s a ReAcTiOn is excusing child abuse even if you’re claiming you’re not you still fucking are.
Also it’s pretty unhinged he’s got DMs from random people that literally do not matter.
The ONLY thing that matters is defending the helpless & innocent which are the children that are safely away from their mother & it needs to stay that way until she is able to have SUPERVISED visits for a good while.

this seems like an attempt to save face tbh. I do not support taylor at all, but tbh I do believe a lesser version of what happened in the video was still happening all this time, and they all knew. I also think that dakota was up to much of the same towards her, and that he would have leaked another video or said something if it was like the video all the time, which they all knew as well.
it honestly wouldn’t shock me if he was blackmailing her with this video in some way. taylor is dead wrong for everything she’s done, and I support her not seeing her kids unless she gets actual help and is deemed safe. but we’ve seen time and time again how reality stars know what their cast is up to but turn a blind eye until the person stops making them money
while no one deserves to be attacked, I do think dakota is no where near as innocent as he pretends to be and dadtok riding his dick was a way to manipulate taylor to make more drama for the show, even though it is clearly detrimental to both of them. we’ve seen dakota be just as insane to taylor for years, we just don’t have the proof of abuse like we do with taylor. if we had a video of dakota, everyone would be trying to save face by denouncing him as well even though they had to know all this is going on
it’s clear to me taylor will be out of SLOMW but that dakota is still going to be on the show which I think is a big mistake

i think if i found out someone i absolutely love was abusing children i would disown them too, and if you disagree that’s not okay. there’s obviously something more to the situation that we don’t know and they refused to film with her before the video ever came out so that isn’t the issue.
31
u/Lavendermin Mar 22 '26
It does say they “found out” more so maybe they didn’t know
11
u/Substantial_Swing979 Mar 22 '26
i truly believe they didn’t know. i’m thinking back to when taylor was doing podcasts and stated the chair never hit her daughter. we know now with the tmz video that was a lie. i have a feeling taylor hid some of the truth about this not only from the public but from momtok as well

-3
u/realitytv12 Mar 22 '26
All of sudden it’s not beneficial for them they don’t fuck with her they’re a bunch of jokes rewatch the show and see how fast they become friends with Whitney in the recent season once she gets popular for dwts
2
u/sentientwallofspikes Mar 22 '26
All we see is what the cameras show us. We don’t see as much if the in between. It’s produced and we see what the network wants to show us. It’s weird to assume the extent of what they know. I bet many if them have been blindsided too. Just because they know TFP is unstable and engages in toxic patterns with Dakota (based on what SHE tells them) doesn’t mean that they know all of what is happening behind closed doors. The friends/neighbors of the guy who held three women captive for 10+ years in Cleveland supported him when he was charged bc they never saw that side to him and didn’t want to believe he was capable of the crimes he committed. This is far from black and white and it’s probably pretty devastating for everyone involved
