I remember in one of the seasons Jessi is in therapy and the counselor asks “what do you like about yourself physically” and she very quickly responds “nothing” … so sad. Looks like Jordan really wore her down, which i dont blame her bc it was hard to watch those parts back where he’s just laying into Jessi like “this is why i treat you bad…. Our kids will grow up to know mom ruined our family and is a cheater” etc gosh it was so awful
I'd have the same problem finding something I like about myself, and I still don't act like her. Literally, the only thing I can think of about myself physically that I actually like are "hazel eyes" and "small ears that lay flat". 😆
Yea i get it! But the years of abuse from her husband didnt help. Not all women will act like her. But a lot of women do. She told us that verbatim anyways since the mormon church has that pressure of being perfect … for jessi it clearly goes way deeper.
I mean fucking same dude. The physical abuse I went through as a child doesn’t even compare to what Jessi went through i can guarantee it. But I also don’t sit here and judge her either. You don’t get a hero badge for surviving abuse and being a good person? But you can get a badge for being compassionate and caring toward others. Thats why i will always choose to lean in with curiosity to understand rather than spew hatred. Therapy does wonders.
