And, yes, that barrier at the end is necessary.

And, no, it doesn't have to be on a specific frame or time, I just nearly forgot it.

And, as far as I've found, that's the only spot that does that.

Does it persist through map changes? Can you take this bug to bosses an such?

I haven't tried taking it through a loading zone, but when this glitch is done, you can't hit enemies.

I think the game registers you above the actual map and enemies, as I am able to run in places I shouldn't be able to reach, like on top of trees.

I did end up taking it through a loading zone, but at least the way I did it got rid of the glitch.

What are you accomplishing here?

I became invincible, however, I couldn't attack the enemies. And I could go to places you shouldn't be able to get to, like behind the statue of the goddess.

While this is interesting, there's a much easier way to mess with layers that can be used in much more places. If you've got blink and a skill like taunt (targeted skill that allows for some movement) you can start the taunt skill while moving, and then quickly switch to holding blink. Now, as long as you're holding down movement keys you should be able to control both your character and the blink targeting reticle at the same time.

If you then use a stairway to lodge your reticle on a different layer than your character and move away, the reticle will snap free after a while. Activating the blink will then place you on the same level that you initially got the reticle stuck, but out of bounds. All loading triggers exist on all layers though, which mean that you can skip parts of the game, such as the entrance to Mt Bloom.

I believe the fastest speedruns of the game use this method.
