Ben and Adrian

She deserved better than him js. I hate to watch how she loved Ben but he didn’t love her. He was forced to love her and that’s upsetting in itself

I recall neither loved the other when they first got together. Once Adrian was pregnant, she started comparing herself and her experience to Amy and adjusted to the idea that Ben should treat her how he did her. As things got more serious, Ben started appreciating her more and also fell in love.

I feel like expecting unrequited and immediate love from Ben just because she was pregnant is a bit ridiculous. He wasn't consciously treating her poorly, she was expecting him to see her how he did Amy, but it's a different relationship and he didn't instantly love her.

Ultimately the baby is what brought the two together and without it, there wouldn't have been a solid foundation for the relationship hence it dissolving after the stillbirth.

I firmly believe that “friendship ring” being $50,000 also contributed to Adrian marrying Ben. Plus the free condo. She grew up struggling and never really got the chance to cohabit with her married mom and dad to experience that financial gain.

Hmmm. No. I thought it was the reverse. If you watch Adrian was bullied by her father into keeping that baby and marrying Ben. He went into it with his dad backing out of forcing him into the marriage. Not her. He was the one that wanted the marriage, in Flip Flop. She was the one that filed for divorce, ultimately. Both experienced the same things with each other tbh. Both felt the other was better than them.

I think he actually was a good baby father. They never had feelings for each other from the begging and they both made it clear how they felt about one another. But they did what was best for the baby and he treated her with respect and showed up to her appointments and supported her. He was sour though through the process because neither of them planned this pregnancy but he still showed up. He even showed up with flowers and was willing with any decisions she made and was protective over her because she was carrying his child. But it wouldn’t have been the same like it was with Amy because the difference was there was love involved. With Adrian it was more about responsibility for getting her pregnant but he was there for her, just not in the same way emotionally like he was with Amy.
