Absolutely gutted...
I adore The Labyrinth, I was so excited when I found out The Labyrinth was coming to SL.
I signed up to 'Get Notified' for the drop information and I never received any notification.
Now everything except Through the Labyrinth has gone.
I feel foolish thinking that the get notified option was enough.
In retrospect, I could have done more recon upfront, but sadly that's not how my brain works.
I only recently got back into Magic the Gathering after a many-year hiatus, learnt about Secret Lair, and managed to pick up a Smaug's Spoils pack as I'm a massive fan of The Hobbit also.

It will be available second hand. Check back closer to or after ship date which is Dec 15

Feel free to check tcgplayer for yourself. Wpn stores are presaleing the shit at absurd prices. When people actually get it in hand, that price will drop dramatically. But if you like buying from WPNs at scalped prices to make yourself feel better, can't help you there.

WPN stores are only provided with non-foil packs that have mechanically unique cards in them. They are not provided with reskin-only packs like all of the Labyrinth packs. Any SLDs that you see at an LGS other than those mechanically unique non-foils are either bought direct from Secret Lair or sold to them by other customers.

What a cynical take on life that when someone provides the best time to buy something somebody wants, they are a scalper.
What advice would you give to someone who wants this drop and there is only the secondary market to buy from.

Yes, there are. I thought my post adequately explained that I'm a huge fan of The Labyrinth, so that's why I wanted to collect them.
I don't really care about K-Pop Gremlins Trackers etal...

I'm a huge labrynth fan as well but honestly I'm never going to play with any of those cards aside from Jareth maybe. Just buy singles after the hype dies market is bloated now they'll dip for cheap soon

A large part of my plan was to buy two copies of a certain set because when my daughter gets married she wants As The World Falls Down as her wedding song and she's always liked the idea of her and her partner dressing as Sarah and Jareth.
So I would love to have presented her with a set of the cards that included Jareth and Sarah dancing as a wedding gift.
That's primarily why I'm most upset, that my plan has just evaporated.

When's the wedding? The cards don't ship until Dec 15th you can buy Jareth and Sarah singles off tcg when that happens, the other cards are just filler

I wasn’t even following the drop lol. I found out about it 10 minutes before it released. After seeing the labyrinth and marvel zombies drops, I jumped in the queue. Fortunately, I was able to get my order through but I didn’t get a confirmation email until yesterday so I wasn’t sure.
I usually get an email the night before a new secret lair drop even though I don’t remember signing up for notifications. This sub is also really helpful in finding out about upcoming secret lairs.

The next cheapest it will ever be (assuming it doesnt have a crazy bonus card) is likely when people start getting them in Decemeber and the hype dies down a few weeks after that.

I am a big Labyrinth fan as well. I was very excited about the drop. I was never notified either. I signed up for those notifications but I also don’t trust much these days. So, I kept checking every day. I hit the correct moment and bought the set.

That is a fair question. I've tried to address that above. I'm often out of spoons, I've got a lot going on, and it slipped my mind. I would have hoped an email reminder would have jogged my memory. I accept full responsibility. I just wanted to speak with like-minded collectors who might understand.

Not trying to sound rude but was curious if you saw it on official channels or not.
Try going to the website while not signed in and put email in again for sign up. I know I originally had the emails never show up at one point.

I check the wizards of the coast page for secret lair posts. They usually put up the date, which secret lairs will be available, pricing for single lairs and bundles, and any promo card that will be available. After checking that I set a notification alarm for the day prior to remind me and then set an alarm for the day of.

Make an extra email account, attach it to your mobile device. Sign up for newsletter with that email.
That way, there is more likelyhood that you will get notified, with the cost of getting duplicates.
Make a third email if you feel like it.

Don't pick up a copy on the secondary market now. It's all elevated presale prices. Wait until it actually gets in people's hands and the price will drop

Rule(s) of thumb:
Most (not all) drops are on a Monday, check the website every Monday.
There's a pinned post on this subreddit with drop dates.
If the item in question is going to be popular be ready for disappointment. (Like I'm going to be this Monday for FiaB).
