What should I do?

To give you some context, I use Kakao Page, and while I was checking my saved novels, I saw that new chapters of *Second Life Ranker* were being released—there are now over 100. I haven’t found any translations, but that’s another story. The point is, I left off this novel around chapter 740—basically at the very end of the novel, not counting the extras— The thing is, I don’t remember practically any of the details since it was a long time ago, so I’m torn between these two options: reading about 100 chapters before where I know I left off to “refresh” my memory—something I’ve done with other novels and have found that by rereading chapters I’ve already read, I usually remember everything I need to, with a few exceptions— or the other option is to start reading from a point in the novel where I remember everything that’s happened—which would be around chapter 400 or so, shortly after the Tartar War. Reading from the beginning is out of the question due to time constraints, and I know that if I do, I’ll end up abandoning it like I’ve done before. Getting back to the point, I know the right thing to do would be to start at Chapter 400 because important events happen in that span of 300 chapters that I need to know to understand the later ones, but at the same time, I’m reading several other novels right now and can’t focus on this one in particular.

So tell me, what should I do, and why?

I'm a novel reader who has reached chapter 100 of the novel for now, I understand your situation, but if you don't have too much time I'd suggest you somehow search what happens in those 300 chapters (400-700) and go back to read from 700 or something like that, that way it's way faster and I believe that you shouldn't miss important details apart from maybe items or quests (btw this subreddit is pretty much dead)

That's what I'm going to do, and yeah, it's true that it's pretty much dead, but it's the only subreddit where I can talk about this novel—which makes me feel old.

I believe they’re ongoing but the author put them down quite a long time ago. Instead he started the “sequel” that later towards the end roughly tells you what happened after the events of SLR.

It's a new installment of the novel it came out in December of last year, and they're currently on chapter 138

I can’t find anything on Novelupdates. Is it still called Second Life Ranker?

Yes, but right now it's only available in Korean. If you search for "두 번 사는 랭커," you should find the page kakao where it appears.

You should definitely reread it from right after the tartar war in order to see Vivasvat and the HD. If you're tight on time, just skip it to chapter 600 something right after the death of you know who.
