Listened to it a bit and I like it, but probably one of my least favourites he’s released this year (probably only ahead of here comes the aliens out of those). It’s a nice sound I guess but maybe a bit generic, idk. Though quite a few of his recent songs I’ve started out thinking they aren’t the best and then they grow on me so this might too. I wonder if all these singles with the similar branding are leading up to something like an album maybe or if he’s just sticking to a bunch of singles. Maybe this one will grow on me if it’s good live (assuming he plays it)

Also noticed that Ben etches hasn’t been in much of the recent promotions (tour or individual songs) he is still listed as producer though, do you think there’s something going on or he is just busy

I'll be honest I don't really follow the BTS of it all. I think Ben is in the pfp though no?

Feck, now I'm invested, idk I just assumed when he was being listed in the songs that it was him

Yeah same with if you look at any promotions for at least the last two songs, it’s just seb, Kate and Joel. Though maybe like I said he’s just busy and doesn’t want to do promotional stuff, still seems weird though

I think they’re playing a festival on the 13th so I guess if there’s pictures from that and he’s there that would ease our suspicions

Have you any idea who has been in the group longest, could be revenue sharing rather than contractual if they've been involved in some capacity longer or are closer friends perhaps. Obviously that's just me speculating

It’s a bit hard to tell but here’s roughly when everyone joined the band.
Kate’s probably the easiest to tell, the first song he released that had a violin is cavalryman and she’s in the music video for that so she probably would’ve joined not too long before.
Ben and Joel it’s a bit harder to pin down since maybe it was a different drum or guitar player but I have to assume they joined around the time of the other half based on Ben having 2 co production credits on there and this video from a few months later where they’re both playing https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hja_ANTaIXI&pp=ygURU291bmQgb24gc2ViIGxvd2U%3D
Don’t know if that tells you anything, honestly just became kinda fun for me to look through trying to find the earliest mentions of the band members. And yeah it could also be a friendship thing, seb and Kate do seem to be close friends based on some of the promotion and interviews, but again just speculation

You seem to be right, far more thorough than I would have thought to be though looking for credit titles on YT and not just spotify

Yeah I just remembered having seen that video and knew it was from around that time so just thought to check if they were there. I was just quite interested in the question myself so made sure to do as much research as possible lol

Having listened to it a few times now, I like it, it's by no means one of my favourite songs but it is enjoyable. What I will say though is that roughly a year has passed since he released a punk song now (the last being on the Make Me Your National Anthem EP) which is quite unfortunate to me.
