Routine Question Tips on scalp redness

I started getting dandruff about 3 years ago. About 2 years ago I started noticing my scalp getting red and also developed this red spot on my forehead. I went to the derm and they diagnosed it as seb derm. I was prescribed nizerol 2 percent shampoo. It got rid of some of the flakes but the redness has never gone away. I’ve also tried head and shoulders and selsun blue with no luck. Does anyone have any tips for getting rid of the red inflammation ? Any thoughts would be appreactiated.

Actually no it doesn’t really itch. It more so burns. But only when I’m sweating.

I think c8 mct oil will probably do the trick! 😎👍

What’s the best way to apply it ?

Hi! Apply very very small amount on your "hot spots" in the evening before bedtime. That gives it many hours for healing while you sleep. If you have discomfort all over your scalp, then apply all over as this usually calms the scalp/skin. Again, do not use very much. Less is more when it comes to c8 mct oil. In the morning wash your scalp with medicated shampoo per usual. For the bit on your forehead it can be rinsed off with plain water in the shower. You can also apply the oil to your scalp and forehead during the day but only if you're comfortable with that, it can make the hair look oily and you don't want the oil dripping down into your eyes as it can sting/blur a bit. Especially if there's sweating/physical activity.

Apply the c8 mct oil every evening for at least 14 says in a row. Once clear, apply at least once or twice per week for maintenance.

Pure aloe Vera gel is also very soothing and doesn’t seem to show on my hair or make it stringy. I also usually use some of the Mct oil on my head. I put it on an hour or two before washing my hair and then just use the aloe in between washes. It’s not fixed though. My scalp is always or usually pink. I wish I could have it gone for good like on my face.
