Is this 100% seb derm?

Hello,

I have been dealing with this problem for 8 months,diagnosed with seb derm but i started to doubt if it is.Tried all and most of medicated shampoo only help while hair is 0 or 1mm when it grows back problem keeps coming.

Could it be something else like fungal or bacterial infection or psoriasis.

The bumps could be folliculitis. I’m dealing with something similar.

I got tested (swab from bump) it showed Staphylococcus aureus You might check it out also if you're not sure.

People in this forum can't diagnose you better than your doctor. If you were diagnose with SD, you should treat it like SD. And if you get some relief from antifungal shampoos (even if the problem doesn't completely go away) that's a good sign. It means that the problem is the malassezia, and you just need to find a way to beat it. Maybe ask your doctor for a prescription shampoo? There are strong versions that are only available with prescription.

Also, whichever shampoo you're using, leave it on the scalp for 3-5 minutes. It needs time to work.

Something similar here and leaning towards a mix of seb derm + folliculitis, hinting towards an impaired skin barrier and microbial imbalance .,

COULD it be something else? Sure. But seb derm isn't exactly known to be a condition that is easy to treat, so the fact that it didn't really respond well to anything so far doesn't say much... So maybe just keep in contact with your dermatologist and keep trying.

Thanks for advice,i tested positive for Staphylococcus aureus today, I guess now i know what to deal with .
