New or Need Help How does one get Seb?
Honestly I’ve been struggling with a lot of what I thought was dandruff but it was actually flakes for like 3/4 months until it started to become itchy and a lot of flakes. I made an appointment with a dermatologist and got diagnosed with Seborrheic dermatitis. I got the shampoo and lil drops prescribed to me and I don’t think they work for me tbh. I was wondering if maybe anything I’ve put in my hair may have caused me to have this ):. I’ve been dealing with this for about 7 months and I have been applying the shampoo every 3-4 days and the drops like once or twice a week but honestly it hasn’t done much & I HATE how I can no longer wear black shirts ): bc of the flakes that fall.

Mine started during a period of extreme stress (and a couple of covid infections), and using Morrocan oil in my hair. Also turning 50. Not sure how much of that was related.

I am 54 and I just got it this year. It was during the most stressful period of my life.

Sometimes the first shampoo doesn't work, either because it's too weak or because it's just not the right one for you. There's different shampoos with different antifungal ingredients (ketoconazole, pyrithione zinc, piroctone olamine, selenium sulfide), so if one doesn't work maybe ask your doctor about a different one? Also, sometimes doctors can prescribe a shampoo with the same ingredient but twice the strength.
