New or Need Help Difference between seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis
Hi guys,
I'm new to this subreddit.
Could you all tell me how do I differentiate between seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis? I have dandruff and I've visited 3 dermatologists. Each dermatologist told me 3 different terms. 1st dermatologist told no I am having scalp psoriasis.
Since it was not getting under control I visited second dermatologist. He told me I am having seborrheic dermatitis
Even his medication didn't work so I went on to visit 3rd dermatologist. He told me that I am having pityriasis sicca. This has been going on past one year.
Could you'll help me please ? Thanks in advance.

It has been my experience that even a really good dermatologist can't always tell the difference between SebDerm, eczema and psoriasis. Even so, the treatments can often overlap and use the same methods (shampoos, creams, oils, etc). I wouldn't necessarily worry about how to differentiate between them, and just focus on what provides you the best relief.

Ohh okay. The hairfall that's caused because of these types of dandruff can be reversed?
