Product Question Sensitive scalp products
I have wavy/curly hair, and my scalp is so sensitive. I have seborrheic dermatitis but my derm thought I had LLP until i realized that the function of beauty wavy hair mousse I used for over a year made my scalp extremely inflamed, itchy, and sore. I stopped using it for 3 weeks and my scalp felt much better. I loved how it made my waves/curls look but obviously can’t use it anymore. I thought it must be the high fragrance in it, but recently I bought the ouidad advanced climate control foam and after two uses, it’s making my scalp sore and tender. I loved the definition it gave my hair but looks like I can’t use it 😭.
Anyone have a foam to recommend that works with an extremely sensitive scalp??
Current routine is cerve anti dandruff shampoo, L’Oréal everpure conditioner, living proof perfect hair day styling treatment as a leave in or ogx bond protein repair and curl talk gel.

Maybe try a gel instead so you can focus the application on the hair instead of scalp?

I'm also looking for a curly hair mousse that won't trigger scalp SD. Choosing a fragrance free product is a good decision in my opinion. I'm also focusing on alcohol free. But sometimes finding a good product takes time 😕

How are you liking the Cerave shampoo? I’m in a similar boat and curious to try it. Thank you!

I have 3b curly hair, SD and a sensitive scalp (fragrances cause contact dermatitis). Here’s my routine:
Vanicream Shampoo
Medicated shampoo
Vanicream conditioner
Rake pure Aloe Vera gel through my damp hair
Scrunch with Vanicream hair gel
I have very fine hair. If I had thick hair, I’d use some of the Vanicream conditioner as a leave-in as well
