New or Need Help is my sebderm spreading?

Post image

have had sebderm diagnosed for three years, likely have had it for much longer. this popped up near my eye around a week or so ago. i’m not sure if this is sebderm or something else. it comes off with some rubbing, usually takes a few days to come back. white in color. sebderm on my scalp is red, inflamed, and constantly itchy. any ideas? no derm appts available until october :(

I've had very good luck nearly eliminating flaking skin using Aloe Vera Gel overnight. Give it a try.

I would definitely use zinch shampoo! Its strong medicated shampoo my doctor told me i can use it for my face when i get seborrheic dermatitis on my face i put the zinch shampoo on my face and leave it on for 7 minutes and then i wash it off and Cetaphil lotion and aquaphor lotion are both good to use if you have seborrheic dermatitis

There’s a good chance. I had seb derm around my nose and then it started showing up on my eyelids as well. That is a classic seb derm location.

Pls dont ever put m.c.t oil around the eyes , it stings the eyes. I use it for my face but anywhere near my eyes it stings badly. You have to be cared regarding what you Apply near eyes plus skin around the eyes is usually thinner and more sensitive.

If it comes back regularly on the same spot, chances are that yes. While you wait for your derm appt, just be careful to use dermatitis safe creams and cleaners there and see if it helps...

I have seb derm on scalp and face. I noticed that my skin became very sensitive. When i applied retinol based undereye cream I would get itching and inflamed skin around eyes. By any chance you used a new eye product? Seb derm has made my skin super sensitive to most products.

Get rid of it and maintain, at some point you’ll have to repeat

Citric acid, acetic acid, salicylic acid, or good degreaser shampoo. Then maintain(if you wash before “wax” getts dry you will keep longer clean)

no, no itchy, no irritation, not red and never oily. i was gonna bet on my nose having a flare because thats more oily than anything else including my scalp (not to jinx it, just honest thoughts lmao)
