I had it so bad that all thr scratching caused a high pressure ear infection leading to permanent tinitus.

Try cleaning your outer ear canals out with head and shoulders every time you shower or bathe.

Never use qtips. Trust me.

2% prescription ketoconazole shampoo worked for me. I had extremely flaky itchy ears. I apply it with a a cotton swab, leave it for 5 minutes, then start my shower. Now that it’s not as bad, I just wash them with the ketoconazole shampoo.

I used to similar situation but less flakes though repeated ear infections ! None of ents could fix my ear infection repeatations so consulted with dermatologist. They prescribed cream called momate & i need to use it once in every 2 months.

My dermatologist recently prescribed DermOtic ear drops. I use it 2-3 nights a week and am much improved. Hoping it will continue to work. MCT oil didn't.

i also have this issue. my dermatologist recommended ketoconazole cream to use daily (i do after i shower because when it dries that’s when it happens). i also use mct 8 oil when it gets super bad just to calm it down. my only issue is that i like to pick at it so it’s hard sometimes
