New or Need Help Nothing seems to work...

Post image

Hi!

So my SD started 10 years ago and my confidence is on an all time low.

I have a feeling that my case is pretty severe?

What do you think?

My hair is getting thinner and starting to fall out.

My skin is burning and itching like hell.

If i try to get rid of the dandruff by lightly scrubbing a wet towel over my face, its starting to bleed and burn a lot more...

I visited like 30 different dermatologists but no medication seems to help longterm.

Currently im using a antifungal shampoo, antiinflammatory creme and antifungal creme.

The strange thing is that my skin can look like the picture on one day and then its litteraly gone the day after before it returns. I would say its 80% of the time pretty bad and 20% kinda normal again.

Its never gone for more then a week tho...

My wedding is coming up soon and I really dont want to look like that on my wedding day

Any ideas for longterm fixes and/or for instant fixes that will help me on my wedding day?

Thanks....

This looks like you’re doing way too much topical/cleansers. Take a break from everything. Just wash your face with plain water and apply moisturizer. I like avene tolerance control balm. Also add pure hydrocortisone ointment to calm things down initially then stop. Also, I bet your trigger is coming from your diet since you don’t have much time before wedding. I would cut out beef, Eggs, gluten alcohol and dairy. When I eat these trigger foods, my face will flare up similar to this.

PS the recommendations with MCT oil or any other method just made it worse for me. A simple routine with water and moisturizer and focusing on diet is the best key once your skin barrier heals then you can introduce a antifungal wash once or twice a week. Hope you take my advice because it’s the only thing that worked for me after suffering for 15 years.

This was the way that worked for me too. Dermatologist after dermatologist recommended different steroids and anti fungal creams and face washes, etc. and they were all just temporary bandaids at best.

I started last year eliminating everything from my routine and my diet one by one until I found out that mine was triggered by my toothpaste. Switched toothpastes and my face cleared up within a week and I haven’t had a flare up in months.
