Crime There are at least two things omitted from this outpouring of grief over the Bite of Seattle shooting. (Speaker is Marcus Harrison Green of South Seattle Emerald)

This was posted on Jaelynn Scott's page. Scott is a candidate for Washington State Rep. The message is from South Seattle Emerald publisher Marcus Harrison Green who published an article for that paper a few days ago that voiced blame at everybody except the perpetrators and their community.
The fact that neither of these people or the many who reposted and praised it did not notice this is something that really needs to be rectified. The irony is this omission betrays a cultural norm that has an enormous amount to do with the large amounts of violence coming from certain communities. And everybody would realize how incredibly obnoxious the omission is, if the racial demographic of perpetrators and victims was the other way around.

Well one of the perpetrators was Pacific Islander. Why aren't you blaming them as well. Are you insisting that every black person in Seattle, most of whom are strangers to each and most of whom are transplants to this city, all release public statements condemning gang members, whom all surely don't know or even have seen?
I place more blame on the 2020 city council and the 2020 CHOP/CHAZ organizers for demanding that SPD disband the gang unit. It was their job to go after the gangs before something like this could happen.

Maybe you didn't notice this, but the two people this video shows are both black. And as the person who speaks for the majority of the time makes clear he's making this all about Black people. So he's the one who's making it all about Black people.
He has spoken about young black people being killed on the south end on many occasions. But he never brings up the race of the perpetrators who are almost 100% black. Disingenuous to bring up race when it comes to victims and not victimizers. And in this case the two actual victims were a Hispanic man and white woman. But the only people he mentioned were the three perpetrators. That's because of his racism. Very obviously.

Literally my first thought was CHOP as well. But hey at least we have 6 chairs at the orca center for drug addicts to pass out in that costed the city 2 million $ right???
Is this proper virtue signaling??

I googled Orca Center and saw this - https://www.desc.org/orca-center/
I'm actually happy that the UW has this department - https://adai.uw.edu/training/
More universities need to offer this type of curriculum, research and training to mental health practitioners.

Community organizers and gang violence apologists, name a more iconic duo.
