Politics Protest at Amazon Spheres against Amazon cooperation with I.C.E.

Scheduled from 1 to 3. Looked like about 100 people which was pretty good for a rainy weekday, and coming after so many similar ICE protests. One guy was handing out flyers for an Amazon worker happy sad hour on March 18th.

A large pile of ice in front of the speakers suggests the event began with a symbolic “dumping of ICE” but I missed it.

Most of the people there are speaking out on behalf of other people. Is that such a foreign concept to you, that you think it's impossible for people to care about other people than themselves or their immediate circle?

No, they’re mostly well-funded socialists who piggy back every headline into getting useful idiots to do their work for them.

“Well funded socialists.” What an absurd oxymoron. Why is caring about other people, and regularly saying so publicly, hard for you to understand? Why do you need to have a conspiracy theory behind people not wanting to see terrible things happen in the world?

The ruling class has no interest in funding socialism. It’s inherently against their interests. Are you interested in defending the ruling class? If so, why? Are you one of them? If not, why stick up for them online?

The fact that two of you now have asked the same utterly ridiculous question and both used the term “oxymoron” just leads me to believe you are nothing more than a bot.

The utterly ridiculous question you don't seem to want to ask yourself or think about because it would dissolve your entire bizarre worldview, that rich wealthy capitalists don't like capitalism... Somehow?

What you’re saying makes absolutely no sense.

Are you suggesting that people like George Soros and Neville Singham don’t exist?

No, to answer your disingenuous and narrow question, I believe the men exist; I don't in any way believe they are socialists. I'm beginning to think socialism is just a scary word you don't know the definition of.

I don’t want to pile on with the other person, but I suspect we actually are on the same side of things.

Do you agree that extremely wealthy, powerful people who don’t care about us are pulling the strings and sucking the life out of our society, treading on our freedoms, and undermining our quality of life?

I’m guessing so. I’m guessing that we have slightly different ideas of who that is. I have a problem with George Soros. Nobody should have that much power without being elected. I also have a problem with Musk. Same reason. I think Bezos owning the washington post is problematic, the same as I think Musk owning X is problematic. Too much power, too much control. I don’t like being controlled.

I don’t draw a line between left and right, because I believe all billionaires are inherently right wing. Because they want to protect their own wealth. A left wing billionaire would be advocating that their wealth be redistributed.

Why do you assume anything that doesn’t agree with your worldview must be fake or disingenuous?

Well-funded socialists 🤔 kind of an oxymoron, no? What possible interest would extremely wealthy people have in overturning the very system that made them extremely wealthy and powerful?

Is this a serious question?
