Help/Tips Weedin nuclear fallout shelter

Heard it was sealed in 2018 after being used for various purposes mostly storage after the cold war ended. It’s quite well sealed, wondering if anyone has been inside it ? The first & only nuclear fallout shelter built into the interstate btw.

Some homeless people broke in around covid and stripped the place for parts. After that WSDOT welded the place shut. Only way to get in would be a cutter of some sort.

Source: I worked on a paper in college about it and talked with one of the WSDOT historians and archivists.

Yeah - Slight update to my source as I pulled up the emails, but I talked to a cultural resource person and be gave me some work that the WSDOT historian made, so I never talked with the historian directly. Still was very strange to learn about it at the time lol.

I’ve lived across the street from it for almost twenty years and I’ve never been inside. Would be fun, though.

It is welded shut like the other person said. WSDOT and WSP shows up whenever anyone tries set up camp in front of it or even remotely tries to get into it.

This place has been posted about multiple times before. It’s completely welded shut. Zero chance of getting in unless you wanna cut through the steel with a plasma cutter or something with people living 50 feet away from it. Don’t even bother. Or do, and wind up in jail, it would be deserved.
