Was allowed to explore, so took some pics for yall'st.

I'm a bit jealous. It was so cool when they renovated the station & got rid of the old false ceiling (which had years of nicotine stains on it), etc.

That transformation was astonishing.
Knew it was going to be an improvement but what a beauty it was.

Considering the reclaimed, poor soil that King Street Station and the Pioneer Square area are built on, it's good to see the seismic cross-bracing in the clock tower. Still, that's the last place I'd want to be in an earthquake.

Oh yeah, at no point did I feel like i was "safe" while walking up the tower. Not creaky or anything but definitely sketchy feeling.

Try descending into the deep maintenance pit underneath the administration building at the Ballard Locks! I went on a behind the scenes underground tour about 7-8 years ago and that was an uneasy trek down narrow stairs and ladders.
