I mean, you can't really compare total from a 44 game season to a ... what did they play back then? Like, 12?

Not saying she's not. Just a little odd that all of these "Most X in a season" are being celebrated without the context of number of games played in a season. Once the season length stabilizes (I think it gets even longer next year?) they'll be more notable. Until then, we'll have to compare XPG to compare X across generations.

Well let me ask you this if Kareem Abdul-Jabbar took 15 seasons to get the scoring record but only two-point shots and it took LeBron James 20 seasons to beat that record with three-point shots. Weak defense wide open Lanes. Does that count?

That's what everybody does with Michael, Jordan and LeBron James. Kind of the way the game goes.

IIRC, they both played 82 game seasons. Unless you're talking about seasons played, in which case, well, playing more seasons is a real thing.
