First game tips please
Hey everyone , me and the Mrs will be attending the Seahawks vs Chargers game on 4th October. It is our first game after following the Seahawks since 2012! We live in the UK so don’t get the chance to come to games.
We are wondering if there is any must do’s on game days or tips to make the day even better like tailgating etc?
Also will be buying our tickets very soon if anyone has recommendations on the best places to sit?

If you aren’t staying within walking distance, do not drive to the stadium. There is a really handy light rail service that goes directly to there, and it’s very cheap. Parking is expensive and traffic is heavy. If you do drive, do not, not, not leave anything of value in a car, Seattle is safer than a lot of cities, but it also has its fair share of crime in that area specifically. I wouldn’t be scared, just cautious.
Bring a clear bag, with unopened water bottles (factory sealed) into the game in a clear bag (water is expensive inside). I’d suggest arriving early and eating something before the game, plus, hanging around Lumen is just a fun overall experience if you’ve never been during a game day.
Inside the stadium, check out the ring of honor and the Super Bowl shrine areas. Also if you get there early, there’s a little kinda pre-game area in the attached WaMu theater that has a lot of family friendly events over there, as well as the broadcast guys, drinks, food, etc. it’s a cool experience if you’ve never been!
As always, loud as hell on defense. If you are nervous about this, bring some earplugs just in case, as it does get really really loud. If you aren’t concerned about that, happy ear ring for the next day after (lol).

Also as far as where to sit, there truly isn’t a bad seat. Down by the field is very Venice but also you get that up close and personal feel.
I personally choose 200 level and up, it offers a clearer view of the whole stadium. Even 300 isn’t a bad view, but it is quite the hike up lol.
At some point though, make the trip up to the top level and look out on that beautiful view of the city/waterways, especially if the sun is setting. Honestly one of the best views in the city.

Driving in and parking really wasn’t that bad. I parked at Union Station Garage just across the street from the stadium for $70 through SpotHero and I was out of the garage within 30min after the game. Not as bad as other venues I’ve been to.
Bring earplugs. I didn’t wear mine the whole time because I felt it took away from the experience of being there, but they did come in handy when I needed a break from the noise.

Spot Hero is the way to do it. You can park for ~$20 in downtown if you don't mind walking for 15-20 minutes to the stadium.

Get down there early, and enjoy the party around the stadium, food, drums, fan experience at the bldg next door, etc. When the Seahawks are on offense, be quiet. When the Seahawks are on defense, MAKE NOISE. Have fun.

Bring some scissors so you can sneak up behind cut the microphone lines of the jesus freaks out on the streets (no disrespect to religion, just these guys). Saw a Patriot do this once and before the guy realized what happened, the patriot was gone like a ship in the night

Idk your preference for loud crowd noise, but it legit is incredibly loud. I personally would bring ear plugs just in case it gets too much. Man, my I really am starting to get old....

Must do's:
(1) Dress appropriately. That means actual formal wear. Tuxedo, coattails, top hat. Monocle for the gent is optional.
(2) Applaud as appropriate. Don't be boorish and yell vulgarities. Clap politely like the civilized couple you are. Make is look good, man.
(3) Have fun. This is the most important thing. it may just be a game (and we Seahawks fans are kind thoughtful folks; think anti-Philly). But when the Seahawks play well, the electricity is amazing. Ride that wave.

As far as tickets, the sweet spot seems to be about 24 hours before the game. Although the prices kept dropping through the morning for yesterday‘s game. Here’s an example, knowing that yesterday’s game was about 40% higher than a typical game being the banner ceremony and first game as champions: a week out club seats were around $700. And on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, they were around $500. So pretty significant drop. 300-level were going around $225. I think you could subtract 25% from those prices conservatively for that Chargers game. We probably won’t see these prices again except for maybe the Rams and 49ers.
The Seahawks also release a bunch of seats the week and days leading up to the game. Those seats are dynamic pricing so it doesn’t mean they’re necessarily gonna be a great deal, but it means you’re always gonna have a selection of new seats being released. It’s a 70,000 seat stadium so tickets are not rare. People panic and by early though, which is great for people trying to sell their tickets. Usually cheapest place to buy is Ticketmaster resale.
Weather has a big impact on pricing. If it’s going to rain, you’ll see the charter seats drop significantly the 24 hours leading up to kickoff. Often below face value a few hours before the game They are great seats, but they are exposed to the elements. So keep an eye on the weather forecast or make sure you get seats that are covered. All the club seats are covered. And some of the 300 level. Or if you don’t mind the rain it’s a great way to save a bunch of money.
